  The view from the ocean side rooms was spectacular. The check in staff (Wendy) did a great job checking us in with a long line, she was very friendly and helpful. The room was remodeled and very bright and cheery, the white bedding was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We made the decision to stay over in Hilo at the last minute and i... wat mensen zeggen » t was the only place that was available and aren't sorry that we decided to stay there. - - Nice ocean-view corner room with wrapping balcony - Clean, well-maintained, quiet room - Good location to the airport, town, and access to roads out of town (especially to volcanoes) - Ample parking - We'd seen a fair number of negative reviews, but are very glad we tried the hotel anyway; had no issues

  Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful. Lovely outlook over banyan trees and sweet night twitterings emanated from the birds nesting in the banyans as we slept. Great location for Volcanoes National Park and Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls. We did all 3 in one day. Beautiful walk in the gardens opposite the hotel. "Ken's... wat mensen zeggen » " for breakfast was a 3minute drive away and was sensational. "Pesto"restaurant was a 5 min drive away and was divine. - The hotel doesn't get very good reviews so we were a little skeptical about staying here. We were surprised to find the hotel clean, comfortable, in a great location (wished we had booked for 2 days instead of 1),staff was very friendly and the renovations were beautiful. Breakfast buffet was very well done. Free parking was a bonus!
