  the hosts were extremely polite. The food was exceptional. It was just a short walk into a small village to see the local sites. We especially like the places away from the crowds. - The food was absolutely delicious, we enjoyed a fabulous dinner, breakfast and for the family get-together, have to say the Buffet lunch was perfect.

  My husband and I stayed in the black pearl room for 2 days for a mid week break. We arrived in the morning and took a chance that our room would be ready, to our delight it had just been cleaned. So we were allowed to check in about 11.30am instead of between 3-5pm. Couldn't fault the room, was maintained to a very high standard. The room we had was spacious with tea, coffee, bottled water and toiletries provided. Bedroom and bathroom were very clean and there was a small table & chairs at the window so we could watch the world go by. Kingsize bed was comfy and downstairs the restaurant/cafe looked over the harbour and served the best cooked food we've had for a long time.   Hotel was value for money, its exactly what you pay for. It does need a little up-dating but it is an old victorian building.Our superior villa had a modern kitchen, massive bed and was spotlessly clean. The man on reception was lovely and friendly and helped us out with parking. The hotel is in a great position near to beach and town. It also has... wat mensen zeggen » a mexican restaurant next door which was really good, great food and brilliant atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great value hotel to expl - The location was excellent to spa with its newly opened restaurant. Funicular near to apartment made it easy access if preferred to walking down the cliff. 10 mins walk to town centre and harbour or 2 mins local shops in nearby street. John was friendly and helpful when we wanted to swap rooms. Room 33 was lovely with its shower. Room 30 has lovely sea views but no shower.
