  As a stop-over for our family of 3 adults, young child and small elderly dog, we found Hilton Newport to be: very welcoming and professional; displaying a high standard of service, both at room level and in dining areas; accommodating ones wishes wherever reasonable and providing high levels of accommodation. We had advantage of a very good rate and consider our stay to have provided excellent value f - The price of my stay and the fact that I was a mother staying with my 21 yr old son. The twin room I stayed in was perfect for that situation. The chefs on that night ( 8/10) were brilliant and I am wheat free and dairy free they adapted the menu for me last minute and I felt spoilt. They were very busy that night but still took the time to make me my very own tomato sauce. Massive plus.

  Hazel & Mike were great hosts. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was trading at the Abergavenny Food Festival and Hazel gave me a flask of tea as she knew how busy we'd be which was a lovely gesture. She also allowed me to store some things in her fridge! Bedroom was cleaned daily. The location is fab - max 10m walk into town centre.... wat mensen zeggen » - Very friendly hosts and provided us with an evening meal without booking ahead, with last minute changes. Helped with bags and drying us out as it was really pouring.

  This is an excellent B&B! Our room opened onto a patio with table and chairs, looking straight out to fields and countryside. The room beautifully decorated, light, modern and bright, and was like a mini-apartment with a small kitchen including sink, hob, microwave, fridge, and plenty of plates and cutlery to allow for takeaways. There were p... wat mensen zeggen » lenty of supplies for tea and coffee, and a jug of milk in the fridge (a step up from many hotels in this respect!). There is some traffic noise (ment - Our room was very well fitted out - plenty of space and the added facilities of a kitchenette. It looked out over the meadow so the noise from the road was not a problem to us. We were very comfortable and delighted that we ended up staying here. This was not our first choice but we 'lucked out', as it happened. Our first choice 'The Old Rectory' in Tintern discovered a 'computer error' and therefore double booking about 10 days prior to our arrival. (We had booked two months earlier through

  Everything was so great! We loved Ian and Anika. They did so many special things to make our time in Wales very special. The breakfasts were astonishing, the room totally charming with a lovely comfortable bed and pastoral river view. We were close enough to walk to local pubs, famous walks, Tintern Abbey. And within a short drive to many other si... wat mensen zeggen » ghts and experiences of Southern Wales. - beautiful position overlooking the river and right next to a great pub. very helpful hosts who gave us great directions for walks and let us borrow their guides + books. breakfast was out of this world. beautiful local produce, very creative with a choice of juices and cooked breakfasts that was beyond anything we've seen. well done and thank you for a fab stay!
