  Barbara and Stephen were perfect hosts. Barbara shared her wealth of knowledge about this part of Cornwall. Steve is a professional chef so every meal, breakfast or dinner, was first class and consequently we chose to have most of our meals there. Together they went out of their way to ensure our week long stay was perfect.   The hotel design and decorations are great, especially the cafe on g Floor. Information provided in hotel's leaflet is very useful for us. Staff are polite, friendly and helpful. I am so in love with the breakfast choices. The taste is really good. Location is also great. It's less than 10 minutes walk to bus / train station. - The Artist Residence is a cosy and lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, full of details and nice decorated (each room by a different artist). Breakfast is excellent and staff is really helpful and efficient. Its location - in a quiet street - is excellent for those using public transports, as the hotel is close to the railway and bus station. Very good value for money.

  Its a great little hotel just tucked away from the main road with amazing sea views and a great level of service from all staff - My wife and I felt pampered and enjoyed the relaxation at the hotel We also liked the views of the town and the bay.

  The staff at the reception was polite and kind, despite the fact I am Hungarian :) The room and equipment are smashing. Ideal for a one night stay or for a long weekend stay as well. I have been there for twice and the food is delicious - I had chicken kiev and fried camembert last year. After the long train or bus ride you just need to walk 50 meters to get warm welcome. The interior - I was in penzance for a funeral and I was booked for sun mon tuesday nights.we slept there sunday night and did not get up for breakfast just went to the grave yard when we got a call and we had to drive to london at about 5pm so when we checked out I asked if I could get any refund and the manager gave me one nights cost back which I reckon was pretty good of him as I had payed in cash when I got there so I was pleased with that and I will go back next year in the summer as the resort looked

  The staff is friendly and very proud of their jobs which is the best thing for the hotel. No wonder it is in such a good condition. You should be really proud of this! The hostel used to be a castle, so except for the truth that I have to share with others, I feel very good. As long as convenient transportation is not your goal, choose this hostel a - Paul, the person who was on reception and looking after the place was extremely friendly. He even gave us a car tour guide that he had of the local area of Cornwall to take with us while we were driving around sightseeing which included some sights that most tourists don't get to see. The food was great and good value for money. the facilities were all very clean and we were made to feel so welcome and at home.

  We were made to feel very much at home in this beautiful house. Everywhere you look there is something interesting which has been chosen and placed with an artist's eye for detail. However it is not so 'perfect' that it makes you feel awkward .. we felt completely relaxed. The food from the restaurant was superb. The pub itself is in a great location just minutes from the centre of Penzance in a small village called Gulval - very quiet and parking right outside. Much better than being in the busy city centre.
