We stayed at the Bay House some 12 months ago and enjoyed the location and we they decided to back this week. The place is now under new management who have only been in for 2 months or so, but are making a very good go of the place. Maxine & Graham the new owners are very welcoming and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable room, very good choice of breakfast and homemade cake in the room every day which was wonderful bonus! Issued with a car park pass so no worries about parking. Easy walking distance to the amenities of Bowness but quiet at night, the location is excellent.

Delightful B&B. Homely, very clean and well kept, right on main high street near shops, with a variety of bars/cafes/coffee shops and restaurants to choose from for lunches and evening meals. Location couldn't have been better with everything within easy walking distance. Our room was at the front of the house, and we were surprised how large it was and how comfortable. Really welcoming proprietors; nothing was too much trouble for Dave and Manny. Breakfasts good with locally sourced food

The staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. The bedroom was very comfortable. The breakfasts were superb. Had very good nights sleep. Several very good pubs and restuarants within a few yards walking distance. Lake Windermere within walking distance with excellent boat trips. Some very good shops in the area.

Wonderful friendly atmosphere, friendly welcome and cozy room. Fabulous location with free reserved parking. Within 100m of many excellent pubs, restaurants and bars. Bodegas wine and tappas bar just 2 doors down is a lovely place for a drink or a tappas meal. Jacksons bistro is just over the road and excellent value. Unfortunately the restaurant at Laurel Cottage was unavailable for our visit. We will certainly be returning.

Arrived at Monties on a very snowy day and was warmly welcomed by a gentleman who showed us to our room. Our room (Room 7) was spacious and very comfortable, and warm (which was definately needed!) A cot had been provided free of charge for our 18 month old son, which was brilliant as many places in bowness and windermere do not take children.

Our room was comfortable, beautiful and spacious. The hotel is located right in the center of the city. Perfect location for eating, shopping, drinking, and walking around the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are plenty of leaflets with ideas for activities around the area placed in the front of the hotel and on tables outside the rooms. Breakfast was served in a cafe connected to the bottom of the hotel and it was delicious! I would definitely come back again and am already plan

Everything, obviously the hotels in this area are pretty old but this one was very clean and comfortable was very picturesque. The surrounding area was beautiful. The hotel was on Browness and a perfect position.
