The staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. The bedroom was very comfortable. The breakfasts were superb. Had very good nights sleep. Several very good pubs and restuarants within a few yards walking distance. Lake Windermere within walking distance with excellent boat trips. Some very good shops in the area. Wonderful friendly atmosphere, friendly welcome and cozy room. Fabulous location with free reserved parking. Within 100m of many excellent pubs, restaurants and bars. Bodegas wine and tappas bar just 2 doors down is a lovely place for a drink or a tappas meal. Jacksons bistro is just over the road and excellent value. Unfortunately the restaurant at Laurel Cottage was unavailable for our visit. We will certainly be returning.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, even before we arrived. The breakfast was in our room and excellent. The room 10 was fantastic, 4 poster bed great views. Location was superb. Plenty of life bars, restaurants, tea rooms, two minutes from the lake Windermere. Loads to do Highly recommended. Fantastic place to stay and not too price either. Best value for money ever.
Jason the owner was very helpful with our quiet room request.Bed was nice and comfy.plenty of coffee & tea in room.Breakfast was very good,and staff could not be more helpful.We will go back again,& will certainly recommend this to friends.So close to the Lake....& Pubs& Restraunts..perfect location.
Loved the attention to detail, the little touches to the decoration, the toiletries provided, how clean it was. The staff were down to earth and friendly and although we did our own thing I could hear them giving friendly advice to other guests.Would definately recommend to friends!.
everything.... we had A fabulous time. bowness is superb with loads of things to keep you busy. the laurel cottage owners, jason and yui and all the staff are wonderful, nothing being too much trouble. breakfast is just the best ever.. will definately be returning in the future.
Our 4 day stay was fantastic. The Accomodation was superb as was the Location in Bowness on Windermere. The Staff were 1st Class throughout.
I would definately recommend this Guest House for a trip.The Weather was also suberb during our stay.

Our room over-looked the dustbins and was a little noisy when bottles were being thrown in at night, although the owner did say that if we wanted to stay again and contacted the guest-house directly, he would make sure we had a larger room with a better view.

Our shower was tight-fitting - a large person couldn't have used it. There were four in our party - some loved the breakfast and one of our party didn't like the black pudding.

We stayed during the hot weather and it was sooo hot in the room, no air. The window was open but we had to close it because of all the noise from the bar staff next door and also used as a beer/bottle bin storage. Very noisy.
The bar round the corner can get a bit noisy during the night.
