The staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. The bedroom was very comfortable. The breakfasts were superb. Had very good nights sleep. Several very good pubs and restuarants within a few yards walking distance. Lake Windermere within walking distance with excellent boat trips. Some very good shops in the area.

Wonderful friendly atmosphere, friendly welcome and cozy room. Fabulous location with free reserved parking. Within 100m of many excellent pubs, restaurants and bars. Bodegas wine and tappas bar just 2 doors down is a lovely place for a drink or a tappas meal. Jacksons bistro is just over the road and excellent value. Unfortunately the restaurant at Laurel Cottage was unavailable for our visit. We will certainly be returning.

The suite was everything the photos and description promised it to be. The location is incredible with all of Bowness shops, pubs and fantastic restaurants at your doorstep. Also the pier to where the boat trips to the other parts of Lake Windermere was only a few minutes walk away, this meant that a car was not required for our stay at all. The

Bowness Bay Suites has an excellent location in terms of proximity to the lakefront and restaurants. The suites are very spacious, tastefully decorated and offer all of the necessary amenities and more (including a fireplace). These features made our stay very comfortable.

The breakfast was really nice and the views from the rooms was brilliant! I would recommend the Cranleigh to everyone and I'm looking to book stay for my Mum for Mothers Day!

Beautiful period house and garden located in quiet country lane with glorious walks into the hills directly behind. Walk below into the quaint village of Bowness. We loved having the excellent breakfasts and heading straight out behind the house for hill walks with tremendous views over Windermere. Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend.

What we enjoyed about this weekend was the lovely peace and quiet,location and an excellent place to stay.
The owners ann-marie and paul were lovely and very informative of the surrounding areas..
arrived(a day late; due to really bad snow) to a lovely warm welcome,and a nice piece of cake! The room was fresh and very clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need...

started great with a parking space in their garage. Nice friendly meet and greet. we had our bags carried to our room which was nice. The owner made us some tea and brought it to our room also. The house has been lovingly restored keeping the original features,even the sash windows and shutters are still wooden. Breakfast was freshly cooked and hot. We would definitely recommend staying here to anybody.
