  Been before.. Will come again.. Individual character, staff are friendlyand go that little bit further with service. Superb and a pleasurableexperience. My two sons particularly love this hotel.. There is aparticular atmosphere that they cherish and it is so good to know thatthey are having fun just by being there. Restaurant staff and bar staffals... wat mensen zeggen » o friendly and accessible. - Hotel staff were very helful phone/email before we arrived. Felt comfortable as soon as we set through the door. Internet access worked without any problem - unlike other hotels we've stayed. Our room was light, very clean, pretty bed linen, Having sheets and blanket was a lovely change from a duvet. Extra pillows in room without having to ask. Plenty of tea, coffee etc.

  we could take our dog which was great as we were there for walking peak district. it was very close to the town and lovely park. staff were friendly,bar wasnt over priced and the breakfast was excellent. rooms were little dated but very clean at the price we thought very good value for money. - Friendly, Family run, Excellent Food, attentive obli... wat mensen zeggen » ging staff, nice quiet but fairly central situation at end of lovely town Park, ideal for conferences at Pavilion/Opera House about 700mtrs away.

  Owners Michael and Fiona were an absolute delight, nothing too much trouble. Fiona even produced some rice cakes for my non-wheat-eating partner at breakfast, and Michael dropped us off in town himself when we asked about taxis. Thanks again, Michael. The bed was huge and comfortable, and it was a nice touch to offer a flask of fresh milk for tea ... wat mensen zeggen » in the room (and cold, filtered water). Loved the lion in the garden and the bird in our room (metalwork sculptures, not real!). - We were at a wedding nearby so popped over to quickly check in between events! We received a warm welcome on arrival and our room felt homely and clean. Very comfortable bed with loads of pillows and bedding good quality. Excellent breakfast next day, service very good. Fiona and Mike are a lovely couple who quickly make you feel at home. We would happily recommend Hawthorn Farm to others.

  Lovely location although a bit difficult to find as the road is unknown to SatNav. However, once there it is only five minutes drive from Buxton and conveniently placed to a busy shopping centre and also to a number of very beautiful routes. Would recommend visiting the nearby underground caverns, as well as some nice scenic hikes. There is a very child friendly farm on the estate so little kids wou - We loved the warm greeting by friendly staff. The rooms were gorgeous with a large selection of hot drinks to choose from. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. Everything was very well kept and clean. The lounge had a bar, snooker table, games and cards for children and adults, plenty of choice of magazines and information on the local area plus comfortable sofas and armchairs to relax and enjoy the lovely view from the large window.
