Both Elizabeth and Tim were very helpful, even though we had a twin room and two very big dogs to accommodate!!! They provided dog chews, maps for walking, and a wonderful choice of local produce for breakfast!!
The room was very clean and comfortable, but possibly a little tight on space for two and two dogs; more to do with us than the Manse!
The short walk from town centre, and the train station made it perfect for us.

Owners Michael and Fiona were an absolute delight, nothing too much trouble. Fiona even produced some rice cakes for my non-wheat-eating partner at breakfast, and Michael dropped us off in town himself when we asked about taxis. Thanks again, Michael. We were at a wedding nearby so popped over to quickly check in between events! We received a warm welcome on arrival and our room felt homely and clean. Very comfortable bed with loads of pillows and bedding good quality. Excellent breakfast next day, service very good. Fiona and Mike are a lovely couple who quickly make you feel at home. We would happily recommend Hawthorn Farm to others.

We loved the warm greeting by friendly staff. The rooms were gorgeous with a large selection of hot drinks to choose from. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. Everything was very well kept and clean. The lounge had a bar, snooker table, games and cards for children and adults, plenty of choice of magazines and information on the local area plus comfortable sofas and armchairs to relax and enjoy the lovely view from the large window. We liked the size of the apartment, the open fire, the fact that you could really spread and feel at home. Our daughters appreciated the WiFi! It was also great to have the kitchen and to avoid the added cost of eating out. There were other residents but, in such a solid place, we just didn't hear them.
