Our 2 nights-stay in the hotel was amazing. Our room was upgraded to a suite close to Gion Hatanaka. The suite was large, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner as well as Geisha show. It was marvellous. The hotel staff was professional and helpful. They could communicate in English. I wish I could stay longer.

Location right in Kyoto Train station but the room was very quiet. The staff were very polite and helpful with anything we needed. They even gave us recommendations and directions to the events we were looking for. The food was a bit expensive (if not included in the room) but convenient.

We only had one afternoon to spend from 2.00 pm onwards so it was great that it was so close to the Nijo Castle, then we walked down Nishiki Market near Shijo Dori. The location was great. In front of Kyoto station. There is a shopping mall at the next block (AEON), where there are many stores, and also Daiso (100-yen shop). The Toji temple was near from this hotel, as well as Kyoto Aquarium. To get to most temples, travelers have to take bus lines, that are just across Kyoto station. Staff friendly. Money exchange inside the hotel.
