  We stayed here because reasonably priced accommodation in Kyoto was booked out. The location is perfect if you want to be near Shin Osaka station and take the 15 minute train ride to Kyoto (using Japan Rail Pass) every day. You do need to exit the east exit of Shin Osaka Station to find the hotel easily. It is signposted as you go down the station... wat mensen zeggen » stairs and out on the street, in English. If you can find the South and Central exits in the station, work out where the East exit should be and head - Front desk staff spoke excellent English and helped us in directions to travel around Osaka. Very near to shin Osaka station. Good Indian restaurant very near to Hotel ( Hotel Pariwar with Indian Flag Outside).Breakfast was good.Room is clean, cute and small but has everything that you need. Tip: Go to east exit of shin Osaka all the way till the end. Then look to ur right side for small narrow passage which will lead you to the lift to get down with heavy luggage.   Location:- About 500m from Shin-Osaka Railway Station East Gate. Quite convenient especially if you plan to make Osaka your base and make day trips on the train. It is a little difficult to find on the first go.Get out of the East exit of the station and follow the tracks towards your right. You will see 'Pariwar' Indian restaurant. Good clean rooms with a lot of toile - The room was great, just right for a solo traveller. There was a nice big bed, a tv just the right size and a little pot for boiling water and making a nice cup of green tea. The location is good as well, even though it isn't in Osaka city itself. But it is right across the road from Shin-Osaka station which is a big interchange with the subway and Shinkansen. Breakfast was included in my room rate which was great, it meant I started each day on a full tummy!

  Hotel Consort located near to Noshikajima-minamigate subway station(M14). It is just located opposite the 'exit 2' of this subway station (less than 2 minutes walk). We purchased 'Haruka(return) + Icoca' package and took Haruku raiway from Kansai Airport and stop at Shin-Osaka Station. If you are carrying luggage, i suggested not - The location of the hotel is great - only one stop away from Shin-Osaka station. There's great little restaurants just outside the hotel if you're keen for a cheap and tasty meal. The room is very budget- friendly. It has everything you need and is very clean. I felt safe here. I would recommend anyone on a budget or anyone needing last minute accommodation to stay here.
