Easy check in. The young man at the counter was as helpful and friendly as could be and was a boost to two very tired people. While not luxury accomodations the price was fair and there was a HUGE soaking tub and good water pressure in the shower. We have stayed at a number of "8"s over the years and I will stay here again the next time we come "down". Rooms were clean, free breakfast, close to the town of Taos and Taos Pueblo.

Very clean room Helpful staff. Clean basic room. Easy check-in process. Room and bathroom were clean. The owner, he checked me in. Got a great price. They gave us a refund, no problem. No elevator. The rooms were a bit smaller than other Motel 8 we been staying at on this town. It was an older hotel and needed some upgrades. Needs a little updating on the inside. The only problem was that our shower head fell off. Room lay-out, minimal space to move. Limited breakfast choices. Looked Ok but we opted to go have hot breakfast at a local restaurant. For the price, didn't expect more. pillows not comfortable..very small. Room carpet was detaching from floor, having to care that one did not trip. Morning breakfast (7:45am) was nearly absent - fruit bowl empty, no coffee or cups, no bread to toast. Had to go in the back room to find someone to get supplies. In general, the hotel had the feeling of being run down. At $85/nite, the price did not fit the value. The walls were freshly painted with no ventilation! It was toxic, headache all night, I should've left before morning. Also the internet wouldn't work, and the owner wanted me to fix it by calling tech support. He seemed overwhelmed with the remodel. Maybe someday it will be better, but for now, you couldn't pay me to stay there again. Mix up with reservation when we checked out it was more than quoted online. Hotel was not organized. Had to send an email to hotel with the correct quote to have my CC credited. Rooms were very small. Kept tripping over our bags. There was a strong smell of Indian food through out the place. The place was a little run down, big carpet patch in the entry. We were unhappy. Was originally booked for 4 days, checked out after first night. :(. Run down, dilapidated, dirty. It was a big mistake to book in Super 8 Taos. We had stayed in super 8 Farmington the previous night and it was a little better. I would never stay in Super 8 Taos again and would never recommend it to friends. Nasty place.
