Cosa dice la gente
Housed in a historic building that was the former residence and office
of Doc Martin, it is veritably filled with the charm and graciousness of
the American Southwest. An enthusiastic chef prepared us a special vegan
meal that was, while not on the menu, most satisfying. Live music and
outstanding Margarita's completed the bill. The location is
fantastic for walking to the local art galleries and shopping. Further,
I left my datebook at the hotel and they found it and were happy to

The rustic court yard the flowers, the green house. The trees, the New Mexician period wooden benches in the court yard. All the flowers were very stunning. We were in need of laundry bags, and they were right on it. In fact on the way to our room after leaving the front desk, someone was taking bags for our laundry. The private parking area. The restaurant Doc Martins, which is on site was easily accessible and the food was very good. Overall a very nice stay.
Everything. From the moment we arrived we were truly treated like "Guests". Walked to our rooms by the Manager, whom we saw and visited with throughout our three day/two night stay. Loved every minute of this trip; from the welcoming staff to the quaint room; the bar/patio/dining to the luxury of the closeness to Kit Carson Park and historic downtown Taos. The meal we had at Doc Martin's Restaurant is one of the best we have ever had; delicious southwestern cuisine.
The location was perfect, within walking distance to the plaza. Excellent parking. The staff was very accomodating and informative. The entertainment was very nice and the restaurant was wonderful. The courtyard was charming.
The service was excellent. Wished the room would of had a fridge but very pleased with the service ! Very friendly staff and the room was verycozy.
Liked the ambience, location and facilities. Have stayed with you several times and keep coming back. Homey place.
Location, Location, Location! Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice to
have a bar and restaurant on the property.
Convenience to shopping and skiing was nice but best was dining and musical entertainment on site.
Great location, wonderful restaurant and good entertainment. Will definitely be back.
Enjoyed the evening entertainment,
plus the food at Doc Martins was excellent!!!!.
Gas fireplace in room an unexpected pleasure. Staff very helpful.
The live music at the Adobe Bar(lobby) is wonderful.
Loved the location and the charm of the Hotel.
music nightly, great restaurant, nice room.
promotion of live music in the lobby.
The ambience in the public spaces.
location, peaceful, courtyard.
Very central, confortable.
The rustic feel of the Inn.
Staff was very courteous.
Historical.
The location was great -- easy walking to the plaza and other sites.
The courtyard rooms are very nice, each with its own kiva fireplace.
Location and accommodations were unbeatable.
The building was fun old adobe.
downtown location, rustic,.
Location....that is it.
Good location.
There was not much to like. If I have to answer positively, I guess that it is quaint.
excellent location, right in downtown. the rooms in the back are pretty quiet.
The Sayurday evening entertainment in the lobby.
The bed in our room lacked the comfy mattress toppers that are becoming
the norm these days and I would have liked one.... But that said, it
certainly won't keep us from returning and the real adobe fireplace
in our room (and complementary wood) more than made up for the want of
that little luxury!.
We were not able to use the Kiva fire place. Next time we will bring a flashlight and put inside the fireplace. We were told that we could not have fire because of a fire marshall issue. The rooms should have complimentary water bottles available.
There was no ice machine available without going to the front desk. There was no pool or spa. The fitness available was off site.
Rubber pillows, (should be down), TV coverage very poor, although I am not a bible person, seems like the book of Buddism was rather odd, especially as there was no Gideon Bible.
Window rattled with the wind, strong smell of fireplace smoke at night
even in the rooms, would have liked more american dishes on the
restaurant menu, floors were very uneven, shut the door that goes toward
guest rooms when have live music due to noise.
Noisy heater, no hot tub, no coffee maker in room.
No breakfast available but good options nearby.
Traffic.
No coffeepot or wifi in room.
musty smell, might need dehumidifier.
poor service in the restaurant.
Heating system in room hard to control.
Fire logs are way to big to burn.
Our room was way too pricey. It was awkwardly furnished -- small bed, no table lamps and one bedside table. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the heat. We spent very little time in our room.
The rooms in the main building are very old and very noisy.
The restaurant/bar staff were some of the worst I have ever encountered.
What they used to clean with drove me crazy horrible smelling stuff. The rooms are not classy at all, ugly carpeting, cheesy furniture. Noisy when the music stops in the bar and people are in the ally We would not return to expensive for what you get. The square is full of junk shops.
no coffee pot in room.
Room in dis- repair, terrible old pillows, very few amenities, shower
sprayed water in bathroom area, toilet needed repair, horribly
overpriced for what they offer. No breakfast, old crappy tv. Living on
old reputation. Several other guests had same opinion.
We reserved two nights but the hotel only had us booked for one night. Then they tried to get us to sign a bill for a higher cost per night. It took some discussion to get them honor our booking of 2 nights at $165 per night.
This is an over-priced, antique with nothing to cause me to want to stay there again.
awful bed, super hard, every time you move a little it makes noises. very pricey for what it is. the hotel is pretty old, so all the windows don't close properly.
The room was cramped and over whelmed with furniture that was dirty and old. The fireplace odor was over whelming for my allergies. The carpet in front of the fire place was burned. Bad insulation and windows. Heard everything that went on outside by dumpsters and cars.
