Were booked for Monday night but arrived, unexpectedly, a day early..in the middle of the night. They accommodated very nicely--giving a good rate and complimentary parking. Easy to find and a really good location, within easy walking distance from downtown. On arrival we got a warm and friendly welcome. We had arrived early but that wasn't an issue, able to leave car in car park and following the advice. It was close to the trolley and I could take that to the convention center.
The desk staff, Dustin, went out of his way to call me back and help me with changing a reservation, even though I was using an online booking agent.

The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The TV was modern, sound and picture good. There was a small table so I was able to work for several hours quite comfortably. I observed at least a half-dozen fast food restaurants and one upscale restaurant and a couple of take-outs, all within a half-dozen blocks. The heart of downtown San Diego is within 15 minutes walking distance.

The hotel was newly renovated and was very nice. The rooms are very spacious and very nicely upgraded. I was impressed with this travelodge. Staff was super friendly and helpful. -
The personnel was very kind, even though the cleaning lady was urging us the day we departure (about 30 min before the check-in)

We loved that they were pet friendly, but didn't charge a huge fee like most places do. They gave us a pet gift bag with treats and poop pickup bags for our dog along with a list of pet friendly places to eat in walking distance and doggy day camps in the area. We will DEFINITELY be coming back and recommending this hotel to our friends that have pets. Also we loved the gorgeous bathroom and shower!
