This hotel is brilliantly situated for the Bath and West Showground(just a 10 minute drive). The staff was friendly. The room was brilliant- clean and comfortable. However, the road traffic can be noisy, so ifyou are a light sleeper this might make the night difficult. Breakfastwas cooked to order and excellent. Pleasant room for a good price. Not at all like i was expecting. Local opinion obvioulsy still based on "old perceptions" of a not v well invested in hotel. But it's great.tutti gli commenti dei clienti »

Quiet-clean and welcoming. the friendly staff. very comfortable and good food and very clean, staff very helpful close to showground. The menu and quality of food. close to work. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, good food, handy for Wells, Glastonbury and Bath. It was a great weekend. The staff were all very good - friendly, and gave good service. Food was excellent. Comfortable rooms, pleasant pub, good breakfast, good value for money. stayed only one night booking .com online reservation not very good. bottled water each day and clean towels help full staff. The meals were excellent well worth the money. Easy to find, comfortable and clean. Friendly atmosphere easy going. very polite and friendly staff. friendly and helpful staff. Friendly atmosphere. food was good. Our room was very clean , well decorated and comfortable .The ensuite was also very clean and functional ...All in far better order than we had exected after our initial arrival for Saturday Lunch....See below.. The staff were friendly and attentive.Friendly staff who got us in next door when LetsBookHotel.com double-booked us!!! Next time will deal with hotel direct. I will not be usingLetsBookHotel.com again. We stayed there overnight after going to a friend's wedding. The hotel was clean, with a good breakfast and good value for money. very friendly place to stay. easy to get too and near to places i wanted to see. Close to site working on. The one and only member of the bar team we saw, was a really nice chap, the food was really nice, and the pub was a decent size, nice breakfast, and a tasty choco fudge cake!. Provide a good breakfast and substantial evening meals. The beds were very comfortable. The food selection and quality. the food was excellent. independence. Check in was easy. Room clean and neatly decorated. Food served in bar was of a standard comparable to most pubs / inns. Breakfast freshly cooked and tasty. the hotel and room were very clean. The room was fine, and the barmaid was welcoming and friendly. A bit expensive for what you got. Good food, good room for the price. Food was good. Staff were friendly. The restaurant food was good. Nothing I did not like. Breakfast was not very professionally carried out, or laid out, but food and service was good. a man was shouting all his conversation at his mobile phone throughout our breakfast time so spoiled it a little.only criticism room bit small. The toilet cistern in the room failed to flush on the first night and remained so. We reported it on check-out next day.bedroom was right on main road, very noisy. Rooms on the top floor were a bit chilly. No Sky tv in bar for big football match. breakfast was on the small size. A bit close to the main road for a light sleeper. If anything the room was a bit on the small side. Generally a tired unkempt and poorly maintained building .Clutter in corridors. The lunctime "Carvery" on the Saturday looked good but was tasteless..All the vegetables were overcooked....However at only £4.95 it was good value for money and therefore would have been churlish to complain. We chose not to sample the evening menu. did not seem to to be heating in the room, the room was comfortable and clean the bath room extractor needed cleaning other than that well recommended. Rooms were quite small, plus we were in the eaves, so bending down happened quite a lot, there was a massive bed in the room, but every time i opened the door it banged into the bedside table!. A proper reception area would be an asset. Damp musty smell in corridorsand rooms. Not suitable for tall people low ceilings and beams. The food as above. everything about the hotel was rather dated and the restaurant/eating area was not that clean. bad smells in corridors, dirty carpet, dirty floor in bathroom, and soiled sheet in room. I stayed overnight on a Thursday in a room overlooking the main road. Traffic noise is constant; there is no double glazing or sound proofing. Friday morning at 6am I was awoken by LOUD noises and vibration which could be felt in the room. This was caused by the refuse collectors hauling skips and bins to their lorry. A bit of a rude awakening to say the least!. the room was very small and too hot general standard of fixtures and fittings felt very cheap i.e thin, plastic toilet seat. The food was overpriced, and considering the price, poor, they failed to cook a steak correctly. The breakfast was awful, small and poorly executed. Staff pre-occupied with locals and entertaining friends. Cleanliness could be greatly improved in communal areas. I was not impressed with the attitude of the booking-in lady who was not welcoming or very friendly and I did not like the booking-in procedure which was in the bar area.Hotel was very noisy, the beds were very uncomfortable, and the plates and cutlery were not very clean. Cold rather small room Bathroom shower not to clean food not to appetising. No heating in room, breakfast was "confusing" nobody explained what happening. No choice, just given what was cooked!. The heating system was not working ~ staff said the hot water was ok though ~ room was freezing ~ outside temps hit -1.
