If you want a formal 4/5 star environment, don't come to Lower Barn! It is informal, very friendly, eclectic in design and appearance - you could say "quirky" - and that isn't pejorative. Bright colours everywhere,clever ideas - .how many people would use a huge cable reel end as a dining table ? - on which we had excellent breakfasts

When we arived, everybody was so nice. (and the stayed nice all the time!) Our chamber was like a little house and we had a tv with some nice dvd's, so we could watch a movie (or two). The colors in the room were fantastic! Every little thing was designed and it was beautiful. We had dinner at the bed and breakfast. That was amazing! There was also an hot tub. lovely!

Loved the location - right on the beach easy 3-5 minute walk into town. Staff was extremely friendly. Beach house was comfy and roomy and decorated as a beach house not uptight hotel. Office recommended horse back riding that was cheap n fun - they rented movies also for free which was nice.

Everything! The owners and other staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent - very clean and well equipped with a fabulous view. The food was very good. Our family were camping locally and we all ate in the hotel one night - everyone had an enjoyable evening especially with the table quizzes provided! Highly recommended - we hope

The staff were a joy and could not do enough to help. The food, both breakfast, and dinner which we enjoyed on two nights, was excellent. We booked two rooms for ourselves and my Inlaws for four nights. We were
welcomed on arrival by Phil who immediately made us welcome with

We pre-booked an evening meal. Our hostess Helen is an ex-chef and the meal was sensational as was breakfast the next morning. the room was a good size as was bathroom with all facilities. Our host Phil is a bit different but loves to engage in a philosophical chat. Helen is warm and friendly. the surrounds are very quiet and we would certainly go back there, and would expect our hosts to be very welcoming again.. 3 bedroom flat adjacent to pub meant plenty of room for our family, plus it was quiet since it wasn't directly above the pub. Beds were large and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was included and it was fab. We had dinner at the pub as well and it was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night and they worked out a spot for us!

Awesome historic building overlooking the sea but don't be put off. Room was very modern, heated bathroom floor and the best shower I've ever been in. Clearly renovated recently. Restaurants were good, great breakfast (overlooking the ocean) and dinner. Friendly enough staff. Little expensive but not overpriced. Would stay here again.

Our hotel, the Wellington is the place to stay if you want a quiet relaxing break. The 4 window aspect was amazing, well worth paying that little bit extra for turret rooms 1st/2nd floor,comfortable bed, luxurious bedding, Eco toileteries, happy friendly staff, great food. This hotel is a must visit/stay if you need to relax and unwind.

Beautiful building. We had a lovely room in the main building with a great view. Rooms and beds are very comfortable. Facilities for our 23 month old were excellent including childens tea which made being away with a little one very easy. We didn't use the crèche but would have done if we'd stayed longer. The Fowey Hall hotel was amazing! The staff is attentive, friendly and very helpful. The suite was clean and comfortable every day of our stay. Children are welcome and provided recreational activities indoors and outdoors. Breakfast was wonderful, my girls miss Cherish, the greatest waitress! Overall our stay was amazing in this beautiful former Hanson mansion. Still maintaining it's character and 19th century charm. We will definitely visit again.
