If you want a formal 4/5 star environment, don't come to Lower Barn! It is informal, very friendly, eclectic in design and appearance - you could say "quirky" - and that isn't pejorative. Bright colours everywhere,clever ideas - .how many people would use a huge cable reel end as a dining table ? - on which we had excellent breakfasts

When we arived, everybody was so nice. (and the stayed nice all the time!) Our chamber was like a little house and we had a tv with some nice dvd's, so we could watch a movie (or two). The colors in the room were fantastic! Every little thing was designed and it was beautiful. We had dinner at the bed and breakfast. That was amazing! There was also an hot tub. lovely!

The hotel was well designed and the situation could not have been better, sat above the beach at Mawgan Porth, with spectacular views. The facilities were good and the rooms comfortable & well appointed. The food in the restaurant was expensive but delicious. Spa treatments varied but, on the whole, were value for money. -

Set in a quiet location, but very friendly and welcoming. David and Linda made you feel at home and are very nice people. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful gardens and facilities such as swimming pool and tennis court. Would definitely stay again when we are in Cornwall and look forward to seeing the Yurts in the future! -

Paul and Judith provide a haven of calm, relaxation and privacy in the midst of a wonderful location with views of St Michael's Mount. The buffet and cooked breakfast range was superb, fresh, beautifully cooked. Paul and Judith are a TIC in themselves. Highly recommended. Room and beds v. comfortable, clean and well appointed.

Everything there was nothing that either me or my partner could fault. Oh expect the size of the towels but that is more of a prefrence. However apart from that, The owners were very lovely, and wonderful, making you feel at home. Breakfast was the best breakfast i have had any where. we are defenitly going to be staying again :) -

Awesome historic building overlooking the sea but don't be put off. Room was very modern, heated bathroom floor and the best shower I've ever been in. Clearly renovated recently. Restaurants were good, great breakfast (overlooking the ocean) and dinner. Friendly enough staff. Little expensive but not overpriced. Would stay here again.

Beautiful building. We had a lovely room in the main building with a great view. Rooms and beds are very comfortable. Facilities for our 23 month old were excellent including childens tea which made being away with a little one very easy. We didn't use the crèche but would have done if we'd stayed longer. The Fowey Hall hotel was amazing! The staff is attentive, friendly and very helpful. The suite was clean and comfortable every day of our stay. Children are welcome and provided recreational activities indoors and outdoors. Breakfast was wonderful, my girls miss Cherish, the greatest waitress! Overall our stay was amazing in this beautiful former Hanson mansion. Still maintaining it's character and 19th century charm. We will definitely visit again.

I cannot fault this hotel, it was well organised with helpful friendly staff, excellent facilities in the room and throughout the hotel.
The pool was warm, and clear, with perfect steam room, sauna and the bubbliest jacuzzi.
Having complimentary bath robes and slippers was delightful, and there were plenty of teas, coffee and shampoos in our room and the shower was hot and powerful. The TV worked well, and it was nice to have a table in the room to sit at for reading.

Everything. It has a lovely relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I would describe our stay there as a five star experience from a three star hotel. Whilst it may not be the cheapest place to stay, you gets what you pay for and with this hotel you get a lot. St Ives is a magical place to stay and this hotel just is the icing on the cake.

Extremely well presented hotel and I love the period decor and the ornate wood paneling in the dining room. Breakfast buffet was very good, and the swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna were extremely clean. It was a very relaxing place to be. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Trenython Manor. When we have reason to be in that part of Cornwall in the future it is likely that we will use your hotel again. Happy customers. Steve and Donna
