This is a small (three room) family friendly B&B. The rooms and bathrooms are new and look like you'd actually *want* to live there, the breakfast will be done exactly as you want it, the hosts are super friendly without being intrusive, the rooms have direct access to the back yard.
If only all B&Bs were like this. -

If you want a formal 4/5 star environment, don't come to Lower Barn! It is informal, very friendly, eclectic in design and appearance - you could say "quirky" - and that isn't pejorative. Bright colours everywhere,clever ideas - .how many people would use a huge cable reel end as a dining table ? - on which we had excellent breakfasts

When we arived, everybody was so nice. (and the stayed nice all the time!) Our chamber was like a little house and we had a tv with some nice dvd's, so we could watch a movie (or two). The colors in the room were fantastic! Every little thing was designed and it was beautiful. We had dinner at the bed and breakfast. That was amazing! There was also an hot tub. lovely!

Too much to say in one review, I stay away at least two nights a week. It takes a lot for me to a) really impressed and b) almost speechless, however being shown to Room 5 did both those things!!

wow the lewinnick lodge is amazing, everything about our stay was fantastic, we stayed for two nights in the sunrise room. huge room with views over fistral beach, room spotless and the king size bed was very comfortable, bose I-pod dock, walk n shower and roll top bath by the window, breakfast included and was very good, we had dinner on both nights and was also excellent, the staff were friendly and very helpful, fresh milk delivered to our room for tea and coffee if you want good food, great

Great hosts, very welcoming & helpful. Explained everything well. Breakfast superb, varied choices excellently prepared. Bedroom excellent,well designed interior with both bath and large separate shower. Superb views over countryside to the sea from our room. Pippa was very helpful explaining the local restaurants in Padstow and the surrounding area. We had a great time and sad that it wasn't longer. We look forward to returning soon.

We were welcomed with a cup of tea and biscuits after a long journey down from London. We loved the 'honour' bar system in the evening. The breakfast was delicious - all home made or local food. Beautiful view across the valley.

The hotel was well designed and the situation could not have been better, sat above the beach at Mawgan Porth, with spectacular views. The facilities were good and the rooms comfortable & well appointed. The food in the restaurant was expensive but delicious. Spa treatments varied but, on the whole, were value for money. -

stay. From the moment we entered the hotel they treated us like very
special guests on a very special occasion. On top of the excellent
accommodation (we had a seaside view superior room) the food was
also delicious, presented in a very elegant and sophisticated way.

We found the caravan very clean and lived up to the 5 Stars. The location of it was next to the shop and very close to the swimming pool. A very well run site which was quiet at night with no disruption for other guests. -

Excellent customer service from the minute of entering right through to leaving. Nothing was too much for them. Everywhere you went it was clean. Nice size rooms, restuarant etc. Definitely would recommend it and possibly return again maybe even withthe children this time. -
