Cosa dice la gente
Just a five minute walk from the centre of the city and another five
minutes or so to the Durham cathedral church. This modern and
comfortable establishment was located fairly close to the train
station, but it is best to take a taxi since walking would be rather
complicated because of a necessary river crossing. We had already
stayed in excellent b and B's throughout northern England and so
this modern, well-kept hotel with air conditioned rooms was just what
we were looking for. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The staff were absolutely lovely, so genuinely caring and there to help with a smile. Not that we needed any help or extra service but you felt that nothing would be too much or a problem, the service really was impeccable. The hotel was immaculate. Location couldn't be better for all the sights of Durham. Breakfast is huge and high quality. The rooms are simple but as you need, Premier Inn really have got the balance of one's needs down to a T. Excellent.
The room was huge. I could choice between two kind of pillows. The day I left I could leave my luggage until evening.
For breakfast you could choose among different options with differnt prices.
I had for £5.25 porridge, fruit juice, tea, cereals, muffins, crumpets, toast with jam. For £8.25 you could have a full english and the food in the buffet: cereals, muffins, crumpets, toats and jam, crumpets.
The staff were absolutely brilliant - very friendly and helpful and informative about getting discounts for places to visit and restaurants across the area. The hotel, and bedroom were comfortable, roomy and clean, the restaurant was excellent. It was an ideal location for access to the city centre shopping and tourist attractions. We would definitely stay there again.
The staff were the best any of us have ever experienced!! Nothing was too much trouble Lauren on reception was superb as was Colleen on check in. The bar staff and all staff in the breakfast room were great well done to all! Please listen Premier inn your staff are wonderful Give them all a rise! Jo cooper and Bill Shaw ( a very well travelled couple).
Nice and large room, comfortable bed, temperature controlled from the room. It had a reasonable sized desk to do some work. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with full English and continental options. Venting machine useful for late night snack and cold water and Ben and Jerry's machine for a late night ice cream.
The staff were very welcoming. There was a nice atmosphere in the hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the choice of pillows were a nice touch. The room was quiet allowing for a restful sleep. The hotel was spotlessly clean, it gleamed! The Breakfast was nice too. I really liked the self service costa coffee machine.
The room was spotlessly clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, plenty of plug sockets, staff very helpful and friendly, great location, good parking facilities, 30 mins of free wi-fi,good tv reception, good choice of channels, and the decor was tasteful, all in all a very good experience.
We stayed for one night bed & breakfast, check in was quick and easy, the room was spotless and the breakfast was really lovely (great coffee). The Premier Inn in Durham should be very proud of it's staff, all of whom are extremely helpful, cheerful and friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Durham is a cathedral city, and the cathedral was impressive, especially as experienced from the quire during evensong.
It's a university town and accommodates walkers and bikers well. The walk along the river takes one out of town to the countryside, which is lovely.
The staff were always polite @ friendly even after working all day you
still got a smile @ a warm welcome food was exerllent service with a
smile if im ever visiting Gurham again I would certainly book into this
premier inn thanks to all the staff had a great time.
Staff were lovely and really helpful. Liked the idea that the bus and train stations were close by and we could travel quite effortlessly. Loved that it was so close the the shops castle and cathedral. On the whole my friend and I thought Durham a lovely city.
Fabulous location to explore the city centre from. Easy, safe parking and although this is not a hotel car park a discount price had been negotiated. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The family room for 4 was spacious and clean.
Reception and restaurant staff could not have been more helpful. Easy access to all facilities, the lifts worked well and were always available. Temperature in rooms easy to regulate and everything was in good working order.
Audrey who ran the breakfasts with genuine friendliness during a very busy Lumiere w/e.
The bed and room were on a par if not better than some so called "Boutique" hotels.
Front desk staff were also friendly and accommodating.
Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Near to all central Durham attractions. Good value for money especially with discounts/offers. Excellent breakfast - served to the table so fresh and hot. Very clean throughout.
While in the U.K. on vacation we really enjoyed the Premier Inn in Durham. The location was excellent, minutes from the center of the city. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms had plenty of space for my family of four.
Excellent location next to city centre shops and restaurants and close
to cathedral. Good size family room. Friendly welcome from staff and
good breakfast selection. What you would expect from Premier Inn.
Central location, very comfortable room - requested a quiet one and got it. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Will definitely go back there while daughter at university instead of previous choice.
The staff were extremely friendly - especially impressed by the young lady on the bar on friday night - it was very busy and she kept smiling and was careful to deal with everyone in turn.
Outstanding staff, great location for walking into Durham city centre, great breakfast, comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. Handy nearby public carpark with discount for hotel guests.
Pretty well everything was a bit above the standard of other similar hotels, so it was a good example of how a hotel should be, clean, warm, good condition, good food and good staff.
Friendly welcoming staff. Good clean accommodation. We only stayed for one night but would recommend this Premier Inn for location, proximity to city centre and good staff team.
This was our first stay at the Premier Inn. The room was large and
comfortable, spotlessly clean, and modern. The breakfast was fabulous!
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Great central location, spacious, spotlessly clean room. Were very near to bars and public areas but there was no noise what so ever. Would certainly use this place again.
Large comfortable room and bathroom, good security, easily adjustable temperature controls, ability to open window, very responsive staff with good customer service skills.

with good facilities.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. I asked the receptionist to print out a document for me which she did without any hassle. I would recommend this hotel.
Very comfortable and good priced hotel. Great buffet breakfast.
Good location in the centre of town. Very close to Cathedral, castle, shops and restaurants.

Excellent breakfast- value for money.

great and incredible patient staff; can stor e luggage for free; convenient transportation; clean room and toilet. price is quite reasonable in Durham.
found the people to be very friendly very clean town everyday people picking up the rubbish not bothered with people being drunk or drugs and abusive.
We would certainly book Preier inns again with confidence.
Our room was comfortable and clean. The meal we had was very good and pleasantly served.
Everything is great, from the check-in, the stay, the bar downstairs, the Costa coffee was a plus and the really ultra-fast check-out process.
Spotlessly clean, well thought out design and well equipped room. Very good value for money. Really good breakfast and friendly helpful staff.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. They could not have been more helpful to any request. An example to all Hotels to follow Well done.
Great staff, great location and the Breakfast was very good. Will definatley go back again. Nothing but good things to say about my stay.
I was delighted with the hotel which lived up to its advertising. In particular that the bed-room was well-appointed and looked good.
The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful special mention to
Andrea in the restaurant also Chris on reception big thank you.
The staff were friendly, the bar and reception area comfortable and welcoming.
The location was perfect for a short visit, with al.
friendly and personable staff especially Monika the receptionist
Nice big room
Comfortable bed and good bedlinen
big tv screen.
The location for the city was perfect. Our evening meal was first class served by 100% polite staff , also on reception.
The staff were all most helpful and they did their best to help two disabled clients. The breakfast was excellent value.
The room was clean and well-equipped.
The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was excellent.
great location, fantastically helpful friendly staff, great beds and bedding - comfy! good facilities/late bar.
Extremely friendly and efficient staff especially Coleen on reception.
Excellent location. Extremely clean.
Comfortable bed.
Excellent wi-fi signal.
Kettle and coffee-making facilities in room.
Very helpful staff.
Nothing comes to mind.
N/A.
Nothing.
Charging for more than half an hour of internet.
would have liked more tea and coffee to be on offer.
Those bloody card things you use to unlock doors, I hate them :-D.
nothing.
Possibly more generous with tea, coffee, milk and sugar in the room...but these were readily available if you asked. Breakfast very good but croissants looked unappertising, small, hard and over-brown. Chips in evening meal okayish...just.
That prices go up by at least 100% at busy times no matter how early you book!.
A bit more comfort in the lounge area -seats not that comfortable when chatting over a drink
Late night revellers knocking on windows at 3am, but can't really be blamed on the hotel.
Parking close but had to pay, although hotel give discount on cost
of parking.
nothing but...a small fridge would have been handy!.
The ONLY thing not right was someone doesn't know how to boil eggs.... !.
We walked from the train station because it looked fairly close on the
map. However, it was a very long haul, and the hotel is located down a
hill behind Millenium Place, so was hard to locate until some friendly
locals pointed us in the right direction!.
There was nothing to dislike about this place.
Entrance to hotel was initially difficult to find.
Only gripe paying £18 for parking for 2 nights stay in adjacent car
park. Could some discounted arrangement be set up?.
cleanliness of bowls at breakfast - well, they weren't!.
Everything was fine - no complaints!.
It is a bit of a walk from the rail station and unless you know the easy way to reach it, you end up taking a longer route than necessary.
All uphill back to the station!.
wifi takes 3 pounds per jday per device, and it's not quite fast..
husband in wheelchair a bit hilly and we could not get into certain things.
None.
Internet speed and charged separately.
Breakfast area was rather cramped and bar area also quite small and needed more relaxing seats.
Nothing.
Having to pay for wi-fi.
The fact that the restaurant wasn't open at lunch time which did not become apparent until after my guests arrived.
Can not think of anything!.
The building work outside.
bathroom toiletries - tacky
net curtains - even tackier.
Small dining area and lounge, however think in refurb so understandable.
Unloading and loading cases from the third floor of an adjacent multi-storey car park was a great struggle for someone with two new knees and with a range of cardiovascular problems - and then to take them to the third floor at the end of the corridor at the hotel itself.
The bed was a little too hard for my liking.
I don't like soap and shampoo dispensers.
Car parking was expensive (even with hotel 24 hour discount).
liked it all!.
I feel that wifi should be free. We had to pay an extra £6 for 2 access
codes for our sons iPads. This was for 24 hours wifi access. We checked
in at 4.30pm and checked out before 11 so I feel this was expensive
especially as the room was £85.
I would have liked a small bar of soap provided instead of just the fixed liquid soap on the wall. Apart from that, everything else was excellent.
