the swimming pool and jacuzzi were excellent the entertainment at night was first class especially as I had children with me who were entertained as well. This hotel was always great growing up. Best thing about going to blackpool was staying here. . price of rooms, helpfullness of staff. Close to south peir. Staff were friendly, especially the woman who worked in the diner.Close to beach, swimming pool. The bar was good with the happy hour.The location. the location was good. not alot, Working in a hotel myself i know alot about this business and small things don't need to be picked out but when all it is is one thing after another, i can't help but have the need to complain!!. Nothing, the 3 stars obviously mean very little.there was nothing I did not like about the hotel. I found nothing wrong with the hotel. Only problem I have now is that it's no longer there. cant get the number for this place HELP quikly. table and chairs were cheap and were not sterdy. I think the hotel would benefit from serving breakfast, snacks etc. showers or lack of . . one room had no shower only a bath .we stayed in room for six and there was no coffee table had to sit on bed if eating or drinking. the noise from next rooms, beds uncomfortable size. you need to inform people that they have to pay for electric cards. The inventory was missing bits and pieces. Lots of noise around 4am - 5am in early hours of Sunday 8th June 2008. A big group of females were highly disrespectful to the other residents in the hotel, making noise of an unacceptable level at an inapppropriate hour for a period of about an hour.Long way from train station, no shower in the room. The motel rooms are attached with just a door and can be very noisy. Room was not clean. stag parties kept everyone up ALL night everynight. Complaints were ignored.. had to sleep on floor in living area as windows would not close in bedrooms. The list is too long to write on here! during our stay we complained to the night porter and he did nothing but tell the people in question who it was that had complained about them, on complaint to the man on reception, he sat there smug faced and told us to write in to complain, didnt even try to offer an appology on behalf of the night porter or on for the other things we complained for!!. there was decorating work going on through out the hotel which made the place smell of paint which combined with the heating being on full in the rooms made the stay unbearable i would not use this hotel ever again and i dont know how they can take money from people i would like the owners to contact me regarding this matter as it was appauling. A very grim place to stay. I had booked to stay for two nights and I booked into another hotel as soon as I could since the idea of another night was too much for me. Paint peeling, holes in the plaster, very old and poor upkeep, questionable cleanliness, I really didn't want to get into the bed! When returning the key I was met with a cloud of cigarette smoke which sums up the seedy atmosphere.
