  Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. But the best thing to report was the warm, generous and very welcomi - As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! They had so much fun & were so comfortable and as parents, that mattered most to us. The views from the kids rooms were phenomenal & they absolutely loved it!   I loved the design. The room was beautiful. Clean. Huge pillows. Amazing shower. Young. Trendy. Quirky. Modern. All the elements combined provided an enjoyable stay. Then the breakfast....its a simple breakfast but they've done it in a very artistic way and it tastes yummy too!! Generally i looooved staying at the concierge...

  Our stay at Thanda was exceptional surrounded by only the sounds of the bush in very luxurious accommodation and privacy exactly what we were looking for. I cannot recommend Thanda enough what a great place.
