  The rooms were large and comfortable. The bathrooms had great toiletries. The breakfasts had plenty of choice and were well cooked. We saw whales from the balcony within 5 minutes of arriving, and the cliff path was close by and a great walk. Lavender manor is very close to Hermanus golf club which is a very well kept golf club. Many thanks - This is a very nice, tastefully-furnished, quiet Guest House on the far west side of Hermanus, 2 blocks from Grotto Beach. I can't imagine why anyone would stay in town, as there is no beach there, only rocks, and a lot of people. When I arrived, I walked to the beach in the late afternoon and was immediately hooked.

  Our hosts were delightful and very welcoming. Our room was more than expected and the views down to the beach were spectacular. We deliberately visited in winter (because we're South Africans and Dubai's 365 days of sunshine is boring) when it rained a bit so we didn't make use of the braai or the balcony that much but our room was cozy and perfec... cosa dice la gente » t for romance. The breakfast was delicious and the overall atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. In fact, we were so taken with the place we were hopi - Jose and other staff were very friendly and helpful. He even booked our shark diving tour when our operator let us down. Breakfast was lovely, room big and heaters a thoughtful touch as chilly at night. Shower was huge and plenty of hot water. This isnt the cheapest guesthouse in the area, but certainly has the service. I would highly recommend.

  We were impressed with the manner in which our booking was handled and our questions answered. Soekie phoned the day before to confirm the special arrangement we had with her. When we arrived at the house, Soekie was already there and we were warmly welcomed by this friendly, elegantly dressed lady. We were impressed by the clean and neat apartment with - Soekie was great with regard to arrangements. A very relaxing stay in a clean, beautiful, well-maintained home.
