We traveled to Cala Gonone as a young couple and found Residence Biriola very easy to find. Upon arriving we were greeted by Bruno, the elder statesman of the residence, who was quite simply charming. He took us around, showed us the garden at the back and told us we could help ourselves to the fresh herbs and chillis. Amazing hotel - best so far in Sardinia. Run by sisters - their dad invested in the hotel so they could return home. They have a vested interest in running it well and you can tell. Villa Mosca is a beautiful hotel with very comfortable and clean rooms. We stayed in the Comfort room in the attic as this was the only room available and it was perfect for us. The decor is simplistic and luxurious and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The best point is it is in a great location right by the sea and walking distance to the town and restaurants and bars.
