The Chateau was lovely. It was situated on the banks of the Viennne River next to an 11th century church. The family suite was beautifully appointed with two connecting rooms. Beds were wonderful. The highlights were a lovely early evening wine tasting on the veranda overlooking the river, a wonderful dinner in nearby Chinon and a delicious breakfast of homemade yogurt, crepes and assorted breads before we left, also on the veranda. We would de - Very spacious room, good breakfast with crepe and fresh coffee, though not buffet, parking space, helpful staff. Restaurant suggested in Sazilly, Auberge, 5min by car, was excellent (menu explained in English)

We've traveled extensively, and it's hard to find a place that makes you feel at home even as you enjoy the luxury of being on vacation. Excellent place to use as base to explore the main wine appellations in the area. Owner is very nice and friendly. Very nice 19th century mansion. Excellent value. We will stay in the same place if we return to the Loire region.

  Tutto perfetto. Roger e Silvie sono persone adorabili. E poi ci sono Tom e Nougatine... Grazie! - Sylvie and Roger are great hosts, we felt at home at Les Cathelinettes. Place was modern, clean, nicely designed, bathrooms clean and updated. Bed is Queen size, pretty low. The area is very quet and relaxing, walking distance, about 15-30 minutes... cosa dice la gente » , to local attractions: Chinon castle, old center, restaurants and so on. We were given very helpful information on castles and villages around the area. Sylvie treated us every morning with delicious cheese/yogurt, fruit, pastries, homemade frui - Our hosts were very welcoming and the accommodation was of a high standard, as was the breakfast provided. The town of Chinon is approx. 15/20 minutes walk and has the usual shops restaurants etc and the all important chateau. There is a gite to rent on the property which would be ideal for families as the grounds are extensive and safe and there is a swimming pool with lots of outdoor seating/barbecue etc.

The toilet down the hall not overcrowded and also spotless. The location across from the railway station made it easy, but slightly inconvenient to town, about a 10-minute walk away. I loved my stay. We stayed in the ground floor room and it is huge, spotlessly clean, and beautifully furnished in a contemporary style with a mixture of old and new, all of which is enhanced by attractive soft furnishings and the owner's own paintings. The setting is simply lovely, and to awaken t - Charming is the best word I can use to describe the rooms , grounds and gracious hosts. They have thought of everything: a mini fridge (to keep your picnic supplies cool or to grab a drink provided by the hosts), spacious (for France) bathroom with fabulous hot water , comfy bed and lots of outdoor spaces to explore or enjoy a meal al fresco. The Domaine is in an area teeming with wineries and chateaus - great for exploring. It was a high point of our recent trip.
