  This was a charming hotel located at the eastern end of the magnificent Gorges of the Verdon and just outside the small village of Castellane. The rooms are located in several different buildings and ours was in the building at the top of the hill. It was a basic, simple room but the "country" atmosphere was so quiet, we slept very well. The ow... cosa dice la gente » ner was very helpful and gave us good advice about retracing our route of the night before along the north rim of the gorge and taking the more scenic - This was a fantastic place to stay for us, we were biking and it was just perfect. Everybody seemed very relaxed there. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, for example we needed a new tyre and they helped us find a very good and service minded garage in a nearby town. The food was great and reasonably priced, the room was away from the main building, had everything except for a small fridge which would have been nice. It's perfectly placed for riding in the mountains so we can strongly
