The staff were excellent - friendly, efficient and helpful. We dined in the hotel both nights and the food was of a very high standard. The position is good - about 10 minutes walk downhill to the heart of Port Vendre, and 15 minutes back. The room was very comfortable and it was worth the extra for the views of the garden and the sea. -

We stayed 2 nights. The room was modern, clean and comfortable, the free wifi worked well, the buffet breakfast was excellent. The pool and sundeck were a pleasant refuge from the crowds in town. The location was very quiet, but only a couple of minutes walk from the train station and 5-10 minutes from the main town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. La posizione centralissima - Good value, comfortable, near to beach and restaurants and situated in avery pleasant town that is not just a resort, even next to the bus stop - The location of hotel and the size and layout of room (#27) and bathwhich were all new. This was an excellent value.

Very helpful and friendly staff without being obsequious. Good rooms - at least ours with a sea-view. Very spacious and uncluttered shared areas. Tasteful outside area and good swimming pools. Very good food indeed so no need to go a la carte. -

Comfortable sized, clean bedroom. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly those in the restaurant who went out of their way to converse with those guests who were alone. The standard of cuisine and presentation in the restaurant was superb. Free parking on site was a bonus as parking spaces in town are like gold dust.

The hotel is nothing spectacular, but is clean, comfortable and modern. The best thing about it is the location, which is right in the middle of town- literally couldn't be better. Hôtel Princes de Catalogne is a perfectly pleasant hotel, and given the fabulous location, I think it is very reasonable for the price.
