  they were very warm & welcoming people and were very dog friendly. Not only could our dog stay with us inside the cabin but there was also a free dog bath & washing machine for dog bedding.   The location was excellent. Easy walk to ferry and not far from city. Access using a car was very easy and very easy to get to the airport from there. I personally love the Daintree area, and the Lync Haven Retreat offers exactly what you need, a convenient and comfy room in the middle of the Daintree National Park. Good value for money, perfect location 5 minutes after the ice-cream compan - The location of the chalet was fantastic, there were walks into the rainforest a few yards from our door, with rescued kangaroos in a compound at the back.   Nice cabin with all facilities. Even wifi reception. Sadly it rained the whole time we were there, but if the wheater would have been good I'm sure we would have had a nice time. - The friendly atmosphere and very helpful staff, whom were of great assistance with day trip bookings. We did like it that much, we extended our stay.

If you want to avoid the killer hill, there is a pathway leading from the apartments which runs along the creek and is not quite so steep.
