  We stayed in an executive (ie: renovated) 2 bedroom apartment. The decor was mostly modern, and the older furniture was still clean, stable and comfortable. Bathrooms and kitchens were clean. Bed was comfortable. View was amazing (we stayed in room 67, on the 5th floor) of the beach.   The staff were very helpful and friendly. Was central to everything. Was very peaceful. Had activities for the kids to keep them occupied and most of all was the price which was very reasonable. The staff were amazing and the place was walking distance to a mall. A few minutes drive to Westfield mall, close to the airport, not that far from cbd by bus. I would recommend colonial village to everyone.

  The hotel is located in beautifully landscaped grounds with access to numerous swimming pools and the beach. We had a ery spacious room with very comfortable beds.Excellent views over palm trees to Whitsunday Island from the large balcony. Very helpful and friendly staff despite being very busy. Good variety of food at the buffet breakfast and lovely dinners in the Pool Terrace Restaurant. - Very comfortable. The hotel staff were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble. Housekeeping was excellent. Ample laundry facilities discreetly located. There is a fabulous free shuttle bus service which stops at the front entrance. The sea view rooms have the most spectacular view - waking up each morning looking out over the bay is an absolute joy!! Free wifi internet, available throughout the hotel and pool area, was a real bonus.
