  We stayed at the Kings Canyon Resort for one night. The location is excellent. The room was clean, quiet but basic for the money that you are paying, although it must cost alot more to run a resort in the middle of nowhere. The staff at the reception were pleasant and very helpful. On checking in I was given a $50 resort credit voucher. I would recommend you stay the night at Kings - Although building didn't look appealing rooms were pleasantly well designed, with modern luxurious touch, large and comfortable. Nice patio too... This is the only place to stay in Kings Canyon, and it is in the middle of a desert, I didn't expect such a nice room. It is expensive, but as soon as I entered a room I felt that it's worth the money. We stayed only one night so we didn't use any facilities.

  The location and the facilities (close to shops/post office/supermarket/dining) were excellent. Organisation (buses/the shuttle [great idea] were also excellent. There is a 1.5% charge to using credit cards in Ayers Rock so bring plenty of cash - Nice appartments, 2 bedrooms apt are huge for a group of 4, perfect! 1 bedroom a bit small. kitchen is a good option. Ayers rock resort is closer than Alice spring to Uluru national Park. That's a better option if you don't have enought time for travelling around australia.
