  We loved our room, a 2 bedroom. It had lots of space with a big shag rug in the lounge area. Very tastefully decorated. Great kitchen area if you wanted to cook. All the essentials. Loved the river view from our room. Great walking track very close by. Ballina has a great pizza place that delivers. A fantastic place to stay.   Probably one of the best Ibis Budget hotels in Australia. Super clean, friendly staff and comfortable beds. Free parking and free tea and coffee until 10pm. Great value for money option. - We have used this chain before and as usual we were not disappointed. They are always clean, well positioned and have excellent staff.

  I had spent three days hiking so was looking for a hotel room with a spa bath. The Heritage Hotel room was perfect. The spa filled fairly quickly, there was plenty of hot water and the jets were strong. The towels were large and very soft. The motel room was spacious with a dining setting and microwave as well.   I liked that the Metropole is in the middle of town and is close to the railway station for those without a car. I liked the historic building with its lovely old, but well maintained structures, including the walkway from the back carpark to reception. Hotel was old school setting as well as modern which was great. I will be staying again later this year and will recommend this hotel to everyone going to the blue mountains.

  Location!!!! It was extremely convenient. Opera house was a 2-minute walk away. Both the train and ferry stations were at the hotel's doorstep. Botanic Garden was also just across the street which was great. We travelled with 2 toddlers and the room was very comfortable and the balcony was great too. I would recommend it. - I loved the view, and the good sized balcony. The spa didn't work so they gave us free dinner in the restaurant as a compromise, loved that! oh and the bottle of bubbly sent up to the room after i mentioned we were celebrating my hubby's 60th birthday was just lovely, thank you! :) very happy
