  The Darwin Central Hotel is perfectly situated, close to retaurants, tourist venues and public transportantion. My room was clean, quiet, attractive, and well-air-conditioned. The breakfast was wonderful each morning. In particular, the hotel front desk staff was superb. Spacious rooms (with even spaciour bathrooms), well maintained, tastefully furnished and super clean. Lot's of restaurants, cafes and shops in walking distance. We stayed there the first night of our trip after arriving in Darwin, but decided to stay a night longer as we liked it so much. Highly recommended!
