The hotel was lovely. The setting was beautiful, the rooms were spacious, attractive and very clean. The whole setting had a wonderful atmosphere. Lovely breakfast room and full English breakfast.Loved being left alone and not having to be sociable. Enjoyed using the DVD selection and being able to park on the hotel forecourt. - Good location, very clean, high quality furnishings, ensuite was excellent, thick fluffy towels and toiletries included. are the most friendly hosts I have ever met. Offered me a lift into
town, my room was beautiful with a beautiful view of the city of Bath
from the verandah. My breakfast was cooked to my needs. I will
definitely stay here again and again. Oh I forgot to mention the Spa
session in a 5 star hotel I got as a gift for staying 2 nights. I also
got 25% discount on my spa treatment just because Catherine is a member.

lived there for many years.They took to the time to make us feel
extremely welcome and informed my girlfriend and I about where was good
to visit in the city, whether it be a bar, restaurant or tourist
attraction. The 4 poster room we stayed in, was bright, clean, extremely
comfortable and had a aired of wealth about it. We had a great weekend
away and the hotel/owners played a strong part in this.

Thoughtfulness for guests little touches such as fresh milk available to go with tea trays. crisps / chocolate available to purchase. A short walk to town, although walking up the hill (back from Bath) can be challenging if you have poor fitness. A cab from town only cost £6, which is a cheap alternative to walking up the hill.
Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay at the Devonshire House again.
