From the moment we stepped in, the place was inviting. The check-in process was fast and easy as they were expecting us and I only needed to provide my first name...no annoying paperwork. The room was small, but clean, which is most important! We only stayed one night and spent most of time exploring Bath so the size of the room didn't hinder our comfort. Breakfast was great...much better than I have found at a hotel buffet and they have a menu from which you can order for eggs and pancake

Beautiful small house on the top of the hill, the spring is murmuring downstairs. Wonderful garden views from all windows. Nobody around. Very quite and peaceful place, Very comfortable apartment. A little bit too expensive, but probably it is because we spend there only one day - the week will be cheaper. -

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Parking was easy. Free speedy internet access. I stay away from home on business at least twice a month and this has been the best place I have stayed in, and I have stayed in all different star rated hotels and BandB's.

Everything! We stayed for one night and were pleased for the whole experience. It was a lovely Georgian House situated on top of a hill overlooking the countryside. It has been kept in an excellent condition along with some modern fittings, such as a lush en-suite for the master bedroom (recommended).

Thanks so much to Ian and Alison for a great stay in their B&B and we were very appreciative of their warm hospitality and comfortable accommodation. We felt like we were part of their family coming home for a few days stay. I would thoroughly recommend High Beeches as a great spot to stay, with the bus to Bath just nearby and a good pub with meals within walking distance

Was really happy with the quality of apartment, the easyness of getting into town and all the information re Bath that was in the folder in the apartment. Friendly welcome. welcoming entrance. Clean comfortable rooms nicely decorated. Thoughtfulness for guests little touches such as fresh milk available to go with tea trays. crisps / chocolate available to purchase. Fans in rooms (we visited in a heatwave) and every effort was made to cool rooms down. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff. -

A short walk to town, although walking up the hill (back from Bath) can be challenging if you have poor fitness. A cab from town only cost £6, which is a cheap alternative to walking up the hill.
Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay at the Devonshire House again.

We received a warm welcome from Karen and her daughter Rachel. Our room was at the top of the house but well worth the climb. It was exceptional, very clean, very comfortable and the attention to detail was superb. We had a choice of breakfast dishes which were served to a very high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt totally relaxed. The house is in a fantastic position as everything is within easy walking distance.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Brocks Guest house
