They were kind enough to provide my companion and me maps, bus schedules etc. The facilities were new, so naturally they were clean and lovely (there was a nice view of the garden). The room wa - First of all, the owner family is very friendly and helpful. They gave as a lot of recommendations what to do and explore in the area. The house is brand new and located nicely in the forest of Naka Karuizawa. It's a good starting point for bike riding in the area, even there's a little hill to climb when coming form the station. The twin room we stayed had typical size for Japanese hotel and was fully equipped. And there is a small patio in front of the rooms to enjoy the nature and quietness

  Chris and Noriko, the hosts, are very friendly and welcoming. Chris has helped a lot in car rental before we arrived in Karuizawa. That has made our planning a lot easier. Upon check-in, he also brought us to a local ramen shop for lunch and gave us useful sightseeing tips for the next couple of days.
