  Charming B&B in the true sense, where the hosts are proud of the place they run, where home made products are served for breakfast and where one is welcomed in a warm and personal way. Location is AAA.. interior is pretty stylish for originally very poor man's lodgings. One could not wish for more anywhere really..! While old and original on the outside (being part of the Sassi di Matera), the inside is modern, extremely well arranged and comfortable. The service was great and the overall value was good.

  Very hospitable hosts, very good accommodation across the street from their restaurant, where excellent breakfasts were served. It was a good experience to stay in the centre of Matera.   I have just left Fra I Sassi Residence where I stayed for 3 nights. The most useful and welcome reviews are those that provide the whole unvarnished truth. The accommodation exceeded my hopes.
