  The Aratinga Inn was a fantastic choice! Rennie and her staff are wonderful and so helpful. She helped us figure out the best activities to do on the island, and provided such wonderful breakfasts each morning. Afternoon tea/coffee time was tasty too! And it's just far away enough that it's incredibly quiet and makes it easy to fall asleep! Definitely staying - I really liked my time at Aratinga Inn, everything was perfect. They have great staff and very clean rooms. The breakfast is very good with a variety of breads and hot dishes each day and also a big selection of teas. Also, one of my favorite thing about Aratinga Inn is the tea time, that is served in the afternoon (4-6pm) with cake, bread and also a delicious soup. Last but not least , the owner is a really nice person that gives great suggestions of activities and where to eat on the island.

  Ideal location, walking distance to village, but very private and secluded. Mere steps from small beach. Private boat to pick you and your bags up from main dock. Each room has veranda with hammock - lovely to sit and listen to the waves. Front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful. Even have beach towels you can borrow. We were with another family and between us we had two toddlers. Our children were made to feel very welcome and the chef's made child friendly meals which we really appreciated. The bungalows had gorgeous beach and garden views and overall our stay was excellent.

  Stayed there last weekrend, I'm Irish and my boyfriend is English. we thought it was great. Excellent value for money and the Poussada is right on the beach which was lovely. Very close to the main town but a little quieter than being right in the centre. Meme, the woman in charge is amazing, really helpful and friendly. We stayed in a beach front room which was R$150 per night and we - The absolute highlight of our trip around Argentina and Brazil. Meme and Priscilla were so welcoming and helpful and couldn't have done more to make us comfortable. A lovely atmosphere and a wonderfully furnished room directly overlooking the sea. A fantastic beachfront location, in a quiet location but just moments from the town and pier. Would recommend to anyone - the best placed pousada in Ilha Grande.

  On our backpacker budget there hasn't been much room for 'luxury' and while Cauca wasn't the Ritz, we were thrilled with the setting and comfort that came with pushing the boat out a little further on spend. The grounds are beautiful - zen-like almost - and the rooms provided a good bed, decent shower and high standard of cleanliness.   Location with natural surroundings was absolutely wonderful, so was the view. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Brasil.
