I usually stay here when I visit Sydney. It's right in the heart of the CBD and very cheap. There are certainly more luxurious hostels, but you pay more for them. 790 is cheaper, whilst still being a decent place to stay - generally clean, comfortable (you know a good mattress is important when you're staying at a hostel!), and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful.tous commentaires
Staff are and were all great, they have a reall family sence going on
here, and I like it alot, I been in this indusrty 22 yaers, and its the
first back packers I extended my stay! Hahahaha vaule, location. Its
got it all.
though the average age of guest is under 30, and I'm sure there are party opportunities awaiting, 790 on George is surprisingly quiet and friendly to an older traveler (I'm 54). Spacious kitchen facilities were great.
Location was excellent for sight seeing in Sydney. Free shuttle bus up the main road was easy to access. Room was basic but very clean. Big kitchen to cater for guests and to met up with fellow travellers.
the facilities are clean and convenient to use, staff and nice to answer my questions. location is excellent, just few steps after getting off in the central railway station.

To be an hostel is clean, the bathrooms as well. It has got a lift to
carry heavy luggages. Central position that avoid you to take the
expensive public transport ( if you like walking ) Beeing a hostel me
and my brother met few nice people and exchanged some information about
travels: that's the good thing to stay in a hostel, is not the most
comfortable accommodation but you meet people.
Location near central station, walking distance to darling harbour, chinatown, paddy's market. And affordable for backpackers.

The guests should clean a litte better. Not the staff I see in the
kitchen every day cleaning up after your crap!!!! In a chef, trust me
you all need a kick up the bum. Takes 2 secs to clean up your mess and
clean it proberly yhe first time, rather than the surfice srub you do
that sees other have to clean you crap to cook. Personal rant over
hahahaha. Every one good so nothing to whinge about. Just the kitcehen.
The loud click when all doors closed due to self closing lock. Most annoying.
room is a little bit small....but consider the cheap price, it's really nothing to complian about.
The showers and toilet area could have been cleaner. There was a lot of water on the floor in the shower cubicle which made dressing difficult and opened up the possibility of slipping over.
A little expensive, but it is Sydney and probably nicer than the cheaper options.

People outdoors always keep noisy even in the midnight. It is not
suitable for someone really need sleep in the trip.

My food was stolen at kitchen.
Super wobbly bunks. Every tiny movement made it wobble. Didn't feel insecure but I was concerned about how much I was shaking the person on the bottom.
Small bedroom, while sleeping you coul hear noise all the time cause
rooms are not soundproof. No towels are provided (but you can rent one
for 2 $). Couldn't open the bedroom's window ( refered to a
double room). Spent 230$ for 3 nights for a double room, which is quite
high, but if you want something decent and clean, this is the average
price in Sydney.
bathroom and the room really dirty. The room is really small for four people inside with luggages.
General deep clean of toilet facilities needed. One sink on 4th floor
not working in ladies. Carpets not cleaned at wall floor junctions. Our
room smelt stale.(again carpet I think).
wifi too expensive , loud noises on the floor because of (drunk) backpackers staying there, should have bigger bathroom facilities, more toilets etc.
