  Our car had broken down just outside Newcastle (had to be towed) causing us to be late arriving at Hotel, with only 1/2 hour for a quick change to attend a family wedding. Staff were fantastic making checkin QUICK, and booking a taxi to get us to the church on time!! Room was lovely, but unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy & relax. Decent size coffee mugs in addition to the normal small cups. 4. Room was a decent size and well decorated and well lit with both natural light and light fittings. 5. The balcony was excellent, private and with an ocean view. 6. Short distance from the beach.

  Actually there was nothing I disliked. The facilities were first class. It was value for money. In fact, I would rate the Mercure 10 out of 10. Apart from booking in and checking out, I had no interaction with staff, and I was more than happy with the people who attended to me.   Staff very friendly, polite and informative. Central location walked to marina, shops and clubs. And loved the old pub heritage front withe the modern 4 star motel!!! - Friendly check-in, although had to get into the pub. Super close to bars and restaurants (Darby street and also waterfront). Overall very happy. Good beds!

When I told her what the men had done she insisted on discounting my stay. I was very pleased with the room the detail to our comfort and the room facilities.
