Nicholas at reception made our trip what it was. Great attention to detail and offered us great advice on what to do, where to go etc... As we only had a short time. He took the time to make our stay what it was. He offered a real personal touch that might have lacked in other staff. Thumbs up and for that reason I'd advise friends travelling in future to stay here. The hotel location was great as it was close to everything. I told the staff I was celebrating an anniversary and not only did they give us a complimentary bottle of wine, but they called the restaurant where we had a reservation and told them so they did something special for us. The hotel room was clean. The hotel restaurant was great.
kaikki arvostelut » GREAT location. 25 minute walk to Cannery/Bay Aquarium on exquisite trail right through Alvorado St jumping with cute shops, food, sight seeing and gorgeous water views. Next door to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods is super close too. Hotel & staff are WONDERFUL! They are having a great time assisting your great time. Lovely rooms. Nice comfortable bed and bedding. Good quality toiletries and clean bathroom. Location was great, 5 mins drive into town. Front desk was very helpful and polite. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast, I thought it was good value for money and good service, again very polite!. Very friendly and helpful staff - couldn't fault any of them at all. Gardens and surroundings made it a very relaxing place to be. Plenty of places to visit and things to do nearby. Easy walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and beach. We would certainly return. The location is great, we walked 30 mins along the coast to the aquarium & cannery row. The hotel is 3 mins. from downtown & 10 mins. from the wharf. I love how much wildlife is around. The Spa was wonderful. Loved the pool & Esteban restaurant. charming place, older but very clean, beautiful fireplace, large bathroom, excellnt staff. great bar area, Helena so very pleasant! front desk even brought over pepto bismol & 7 up for bad stomach one night, just great!!. I like the fact that year to year the same staff (Bob) greet me like an old friend. It's nice to see the same people year to year. Since the hotel changed hands to local ownership I would hope they leave the staff intact. Historical building. Eco-friendly hotel. They provide glasses and mugs instead of paper cups in the room. Very clean. Good location, within walking distance to the fisherman's wharf. There is on-site spa and. We loved our stay at Casa Munras...the staff were wonderful and the dinners were gourmet...would highly recommend to anyone who wanted a fantastic place to stay in Monterey! We will go back also!!. The walls are not sound proof (probably because this is an old building. but it was okay as guests all follow the "9pm-9am quiet hours" rule.). N/A. That we didn't have a longer stay!!. Avoid the restaurant for awhile as they are breaking in a new cook, they said. This is the second time they have said this on a previous visit. Overpriced and bad food. Sorry. There is no buffet breakfast at the hotel, only a la carte, what an make it expensive if you like to have several options. Location was close to downtown but a bit of a walk to fisherman's wharf. Was surprised breakfast was not included, but Denny's was right across the street. We believed from the website that the hot tub was available to all guests but it was only accessible through the hotel's spa facilities at an additional cost. nothing. Wish we would have known that the rooms did not have AC. We turned on the heater thinking it was an AC and left, so the room was incredibly stuffy and warm when we returned. Furniture and decor was a little dated. Gym had limited equipment. Very narrow and serpentine parking area. Two driveways: 1 is directly in front of the registration building, and from the other, you can never reach the registration due to the way the parking is laid out. Somewhat thin walls: you can hear voices quite clearly through the walls. Water saving shower head is truly water saving: you literally have to wait for the water to trickle down to the rest of your body. No artwork on our walls. Thought breakfast would be included and they informed us that letsbookhotel.com just adds that to their rooms but they don't offer a continental breakfast. Good thing there was a Peets down the street!. The rooms were a little noisy, but it wasn't a major issue. No aircondition. Breakfast menu choices very limited and service was very slow. No hot tub!. The beds were quite uncomfortable and the wall are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that your neighbours are doing!!. The room was a little small and the hotel was very family orientated (you could hear the kids in the pool screaming). Nothing too bad though. I would recommend this hotel. A night we were at outside patio of Estéban. There were an annoy woman was there. She wasn't nice to restaurant stuffs... Spa treatments expensive. nothing. Shutters did not block out the light in the morning. Rooms needs to be updated, bathroom too very small. No morning coffee in the lobby even so the hotel have coffee maker in the room, but only for 2 people one cup each. Charged $2.50 ea water in the room. Parking was tight for larger vehicles, the fitness room was more like a fitness closet. The rooms, at least the one I stayed which was the King Bed with fireplace, was nice but needs to be updated. Bathrooms too small. One traveler in our party had a faulty shower that wasn't fixed during his stay and he found his room noisy. Would have liked more info about the area in the room in the form of restaurant menus, etc. For the size of the room, the pricing is a little much. Parking!!!!. We were hoping for spa without a massage. Tv was old school. I've stayed twice, first time I had two double beds and it was roomy and quiet. My second stay was in the front part in a queen and it was a small room and quite noisy, get a room at the end of the property for peace and quiet.
