Though bit pricy its really an amazing spot and hotel. Awesome building, great spacious rooms, good staff. Gourmet restaurant was closed during our stay but the bistro was excellent too. Beautiful terrace to watch the sunset, have to visit the winery too and go for a walk/ cycle around the vineyards. Very nice place. -

My husband is a retired architect and staying here was a remembering of himself, enlivening. We only wish we had known how wonderful the experience would be and we would have stayed longer.

Ignacio and his wonderful "team" was a credit to this small friendly hotel,nothing was to much trouble,they looked after us splendidly ,even providing a superb meal,even though the restaurant was closed ( we arrived very late after driving 800 k!)

A perfect hotel, especially when travelling between Spain and France a very good solution.
Very good room, completely upgraded, good beds, clean bathroom, perfect shower.
Next morning we took a breakfast. Lot of choice, everything fresh and looked great.
We travel a lot and this is a hotel to remember for the next time!

Fabulous town, wonderful food, Hotel is built on a narrow ridge above the bay where you can watch the surfers from your room with a floor to ceiling glass wall. We chose the old style room with wooden shutters looking north with our own balcony and view of red tile roofs, the church bell tower and the ocean in the back ground. Just wonderful!!!! This is a superior hotel and staff; just sorry we were not staying much longer.

We were allowed an early check in at no extra cost. They even changed the towels in the evening for us. Room was extremly spacious very well laid out. - The staff were incredibly helpful! The hotel is beautifully decorated, the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the entire facility is extremely clean. The walk into town is beautiful and less than 10 minutes. In addition, there is ample room to leave your vehicle.

Easy access from the main road, excellent location at the entrance of a very cosy old country village/town, especially in a sunny day.
The room was small but comfortable with a very nice bed. The main lounge was very big and shared between all the travellers and it had anything you want from a modern kitchen. The terasse is facing the old church and it was a beatiful view on a very beautiful sunny day.

This is an ancient tower visited by kings that was converted to a hotel and opened for business in June 2013. This was exceptionally well-done and executed and has resulted in a very comfortable and pleasant place to stay, and we would happily recommend it.

The staff were particularly helpfull especially when the remote control for my car was disabled due to the adjacent government which had a radar exclusion zone. - The room was spacious, newly decorated, spotlessly clean, and elegant. We liked everything about this hotel: it's location; accessibility to many towns within Rioja; it's friendly and attentive staff; it's relaxed atmosphere; but most of all the architectural design, both interior and exterior, quirky and contemporary. The rooftop terrace was also a major plus.
We would definitely return here and recommend it.
