  A phantastic view as well as an excellent location. A very beautiful resort with friendly staff. The pools were nice & clean. The private beach is really beautiful too. It is a small lagune. If you are looking for a great view, relatively cheap & close to Heraklion, private beach as well as nice pools with possibilities to play tennis, bas... mitä ihmiset sanovat » ket ball, football etc., Athina Palace is definitely worth while looking at. The food is nothing special, though. It depends what one expects. We ate - Clean modern facilities. The food was adequate and plentiful, but not gourmet or 5 star! You could spend all day at various pools and in the spa, the bars, the restaurants, but we used it as a base to explore. A bus comes daily to take you to Heraklion, but a car gives you more freedom.
