  Peace and quiet, walked around, it's rural, we like that, plenty to do, toured the Old town of Fussen,Lechfall, toured the castles,used the spa faciliities. we loved it and would certainly stay here again without hesitation - Fantastic view of the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.   Highly recommend this place if going to Schwangau. Very clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere with views of the castles. Tons of bikes to use, which I recommend using, for a ride around the lake. - Extremely helpful staff. Very friendly and with good English. Room was spotless and beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable.

  My stay in the hotel was excellent and I liked everything from theappartment to the breakfast variety and the good food in the resturant.I am a frequent traveller and I went in many hotels around Europe but Ithink the Helmerhof is one of the best I stayed in. - Great breakfast, pleasant roomy accommodation, helpful staff. Plus some of the rooms have amazing views of the castles and they are breath taking! Thestaff at the hotel was far above excellent. The room was perfect, thefood and service in the restaurant was exquisite. The hotel is like amix of a hotel and bandB. Our stay was fabulous.

  Friendly staff and welcome - great restaurant - very interesting hotel with much history - we only stayed one night as we were on our way to Italy by motorcycle, but would definately return for a longer stay. - Very pleasant. The hotel and the room are very nice
