Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner. The whole place was fantasticly decorated to a high standard. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Breakfast was nvery good and a nice choice to choose from. The few extra touches such as DVD tv and radio in the bathroom were appreciated too, just a pity we didn't bring a DVD to watch. Park

Bright, clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast and friendly host. This was our third visit to The Coach House. We keep coming back because its perfect for what we want from a short break. Great location for fantastic walks, close to both Bowness and Windermere for a choice of restaurants, shops and activities.

We found this delightful place very near to the village center. The owner and her daughter were extremely polite, caring and helpful, on our arrival they had provided us with loads of guides and plenty of info for our hiking trip across and around the lakes. We had room 3 with the 4 poster bed, it was soooooo comfortable! Diane
the b&b owner was very hospitable, she tailored our stay to meet our
needs, my friend left her electric cigarette charger at home so Diane
let us use her personal computer to charge it. Also, when we got there
Diane had left leaflets and a map on our bed, this helped so much during
our stay. The breakfast was nice and the location is perfect, a 5 minute
walk in to the village of windemere and a 20 minute walk to bowness

We had a lovely friendly stay in homely surroundings with fabulous breakfasts. We were also given much information in relation to places to visit which was very helpful for our first visit to the lakes. The Mews is very well placed for accessing trains and buses as well as a lovely walk to the lakeside. Throughly recommended. -

The Location of Parsonage House is really good being just outside of Windermere and Bowness and within walking distance of one of the best pubs in the Lake District. The friendliness and hospitality of the hosts made our visit just like being at home. Annesdale is close to the train station and an easy walk to shops and restaurants in Windermere. The hosts of Annesdale are very friendly. We appreciated that they gave us (and our luggage) a ride to the train station. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed our own sitting room and garden complete with a table to enjoy a quiet time outside. -

They suggested places to see and eat. The rooms are excellent, clean and tidy. We'll be returning at some point with friends of ours. Extremely comfortable, quiet and spotless clean accommodation. The single room with the bathroom was just amazing, warm, cosy and the perfect place to go back after a long walk. View of the mountains from the window in the morning is a great start, as well as the breakfast. Howard is a very nice and kind host. Definitely will come back ! -

I stayed there for 2 nights with my frd. Ian and Lynn were very friendly and helpful. The room and the en suite bathroom are super comfortable and clean. The breakfast is also good.
The hotel locates in a tranquil block just besides a brook and is about 10 minutes walk from Windermere railway station & bus stop. To me it was not too far and there are many good gift shops on the way from the station to the hotel.
The guest house was one of the factor that makes my stay in the Lake District

The couple who run the guest house, Yana and Ian, are lovely, very
welcoming and accomodating. The guest house is well kept, clean and the
breakfast is good quality. They also, when we stayed, offered little
'extras' in the mornings I.E. as it was over Easter home made
hot-cross buns and little chocolate gifts were avaliable on the
breakfast table. Home made cakes were also left in our room for our
return on some days and tea and coffee etc was kept well stocked. We
