of both railway stations in the town. Plenty of pubs and restaurants
nearby. Spacious and clean room, although it was in the loft and up 3
flights of narrow stairs, so it probably wouldn't be suitable for
those with limited mobility. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.

We loved our stay at Rigsby's and would highly recommend to anyone looking for accomodation in Hertford. The owner, Morris, is friendly and welcoming and you can see he has a passion for ensuring that all his guests feel at home. Our room was modern and clean with a great shower and breakfast was lovely too. We will definately be back!

What a lovely hotel Archways Lodge is - friendly staff, spot on cleanliness, the most comfy bed I have ever slept in, kitchenette facilites a bonus! I adored the decoration and the personal touches. I have never stayed in a hotel and found funny little figurines and air freshner in the bathroom! It was almost home from home which tempts me to say

Very warm welcome by the two members of staff - one of them went the extra mile and printed a map and directions to a wedding venue in the middle of nowhere!
Room was ready by noon which allowed us to change for wedding.
Whilst no restaurant there was a very useful "kitchen in a cupboard" with some nice touches - coffee, orange juice, crisps, microwave, wine glasses etc.
Plenty of parking.
The "chambermaid" was a hoot!

The room was tastefully decorated, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom has a relaxing view of the countryside.
The cottage is isolated, in a panoramic position: you can keep the curtains open without fear for your own privacy!

I loved the beautiful Historic building, the restaurant was lovely, the food is amazing, the back bar is relaxing and full of period charm, the breakfast was great, my room was to a very high standard with a very comfortable bed. The staff were also welcoming and helpful. This is a great hotel with lovely features.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. We booked two rooms as they don't provide family rooms. We arrived early and they let us leave our luggage and also changed our rooms so that we had adjoining rooms so the children could be close by.
Very clean and comfortable in a beautiful setting. Lovely breakfast also. Great Stay. -

It was our girls birthdays and we had just taken them to the Harry Potter Studio's and when we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed with a smile. The staff member was very friendly and helpful and chatty with the girls. When we arrived down for dinner the two waitresses were extremely helpful and lovely, always smiling and talking to the girls which is always nice as you can go somewhere and they get completely ignored! it was not too crowded during the weekend and the price was excellent value for money. Also all of the above - The reception greeting was very good, better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in.
