We went to Port Wenn and left Port Isaac. For us it was the quintessential Cornish Port town - so much more than what is portrayed on the show. The location of the Slipway is, oddly enough, across the lane from the slipway which means you get to wake up to the sound of the sea and its gulls which is what you would expect from a seaside holiday. We enjoyed the locals c - The hotel lies in the harbor in Port Isaac (as shown on the tv show Doc Martin) . The village is very quaint and picturesque The hotel was small and comfortable. The view of the harbor from the balcony in our room was wonderful, The breakfast was outstanding and the hotel main menu was very good. The owners and staff were very friendly and professional.

Big Australian Doc Martin fans. Village was quaint and to make it even more special, they were in the middle of filming the new series!!! The proximity from The Longcross Hotel to the harbour was perfect. The short drive gave you a real feel for the beautiful Cornwall countryside. As for hotel itself, we found it to be excellent, if not a little 'quirky'! Had a very homely feel, meals were excellent and staff very friendly. Can't speak fo

Our room was very comfortable a - This is a quintessential 'little' Cornish Hotel, few have survived the ravages of recession and poor summers, but this is well run. It has a fabulous location close to Port Isaac, but away from the 'trippers' that you tend to get there. The staff are lovely and the management could not be more helpful. Walks from here are endless and varied, if you like the rugged Cornish coast this is a 'must'.
