Lo que la gente dice
There were two guys at the check-in desk, one of them told us that our room would not be ready until 1.30pm (we checked in at 11am) but he was quickly overruled as the other man sent us straight to a room, he was very friendly and showed us where to go. The location of the hotel was fantastic, the road being literally opposite to Kings Cross meant we could get anywhere easily. The room itself was small but was all we needed for an overnight stay, especially at such a cheap price. It was clean e. todo comentarios »
I hd to upgrade to a family room when I got their as I had originally booked a basic double room for myself and a collegue. The owner of the hotel had advised me on the phone that I would need to upgrade and I only ad to pay the difference for the room, which ended up only being £100. I found the staff really helpful and the next time I travel to London I will be staying here.
this was my fourth visit and they gave me an en-suite room, even though I had only asked for and paid for the usual very basic room. Good room, good breakfast. The staff are very nice and helpful, they allowed me to leave my bags there for the whole day after checking out while I went into town.
I really like this hotel and go there now every time I go to London.
Price, proximity to Kings Cross/St Pancras but still quiet. Room was
small but with the high ceiling did not feel like it. New, modern
bathroom. Efficient staff. Although the breakfast was basic I think for
the price you pay it is a nice option to have if you just want a quick
plain breakfast in the morning.
The employee working the front desk was fantastic. He helped carry our luggage to a storage room until we could get it at check in. The room was small, but clean and fairly quiet for being at Kings Cross. For the price and convenience I'd stay here next time I'm in London without hesitation.
location to Local rail service superb early start at Kings x this hotel is a must
rooms very clean and modern in design
24 hour service from reception which is good as the room key is large and did not want to carry that around.
Very convenient for St. Pancras. No lift but Manager carried my suitcase up 2 flights of spiral stairs. Tea/coffee making facilities. Clever design, very clean, windows opened. All in all great value for money.
It was as I would have expected for the price. It was warm and plenty of hot water.Close to station and transport and cafes. Kettle and tea and coffee making facilities. I would stay again.
Cleanliness of the room. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel on the day of departure while we went sightseeing. Access to King's Cross Station. Would definitely stay here again.
Excelsior Hotel is an amazing hotel with perfect location, comfortable
clean rooms and I 100% recommend it If you are looking for a nice, budget-
friendly place to stay in central London.
I was a bit scared when I read all the reviews but I loved it. It's
a small room but that' fine since it was cosy. The staff was really
friendly and helpful. Will be back soon.
i like room i was in r.64 was simple and basic if ever coming back i would like same room or similar front elevation & 1st.floor upwards.
thank you.
The location of the hotel was excellent, it was about 2 minutes walk from King's Cross station, so easy to travel from. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly.
Location was perfect for our needs. Staf were very friendly and helpful when we had a few problems. they showed us to and through the front doors, which was very kind.
We were given a family room for the two of us so it was roomy even though in the basement. Comfortable beds and location to King's Cross station excellent.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was excellent being so close to St Ancras station. Housekeeping were friendly and efficient.
-Staff was excellent and helpful
-Our bed was amazing (we didn't want to get up any morning, so comfortable)
-Everything clean
-The location!!.
A small bedroom but very clean, amazing location (2 minutes walking from Kings Cross Station). It was very warm and quiet. Really nice.
Love the location of the square. Hotel staff extremely friendly. Lovely interior and exterior. Would stay again and would recommend.
Staff were excellent, brilliant location and although small the room was perfect for somewhere to sleep near St Pancras.
Staff very friendly, helpful and attentive. Clean and contemporary. Ideal for Kings Cross Station to access the city.
Bed was very comfy! Good for the money, location was good for where we were going. Yes would stay here again :-).
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Great location not far from Notre Dame and great cafe and shopping area.
Room was good size and very comfortable. Facilities were good and
everything worked, except the bedside clock.
Location near to Kings Cross rooms were comfortable and clea. Not for a long stay but good for few nights.
Yeah was good value for money and was easy to find and couldn't ask for more for ya money. Really pleased.
The price and locality were excellent on this our 3rd visit to this quiet, comfy hotel.
Very good London position, especially for someone who does not know London very well.
we could leave luggage after we checked out on the sunday & collected it later.
For the price, location it was a decent value hotel. Clean and recently
decorated.
The area was great easy acces to everywhere. Room was small but very comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and well appointed.
Clean and comfortable. And very good location for central london and west end!.
Rooms were clean and quiet. Perfectly fine for my overnight business stay.
Good location, nice staff, newly-furnished rooms. Will visit it again.
perfect localization, nice staff, cleaning every day ;) I'll come back.
Helpful friendly staff, clean and warm, modern room, comfortable bed.
Good facilities and decor, good value per price, excellent location.
The staff, the room, complimentary tea and coffee and the location.
the position is very convenient. worked very well for my purpose.
Great staff - excellent customer service Very very comfy bed.
Only spent 1 night - leaving St Pancras early next morning.

What can I say..I'll be back for sure!.

Location
Comfortable beds
Clean.
Clean, quiet, comfortable bed.
It was extremely hot in our room after we had been out in the sun all day and needed to cool down but there was no way to prop open the window. I had no problem with any of the hotel staff but he wary that most of the other guests can be very inconsiderate with lateness of coming in and being generally very loud.
none.
Bed was a bit too soft (despite apparently having a pocket sprung
mattress) and sink in bathroom was tiny (made it diffult to wash your
face/clean teeth without getting water everwhere). Clock did not
work and shower was blocked but we mentioned this to the staff the
following day on check out and I was assured it would be seen to for
future guests. Couldn't get the wifi to work but I am sure staff
would have helped if we'd asked.
I'd you get a room on the higher floors, you'll be carrying your luggage the whole way. We were only on the second floor so it wasn't really an issue.
Kings X is not a great location/area.
Slow Wi-Fi, but I'm picky!.
The room was a bit small but I was staying in it by myself as my son had his own room. I think my room was better than his.
Climbing 3 floors to the room, no lift, but the staff did carry our luggage.
Maybe should renovate the shower.
would have like ensuite but cant complain at price .
thank you.
More storage would have been nice.
Very creaky and uneven floor boards, tiny room, only one pillow per person, no wedge to hold window open, so my husband had to stick his underpants into window, top half of window would not open. Next morning power was off ( none of their fault though) which meant our free cup of tea could not be had:(Only one bedside table, so I had to have water on floor.
A little bit more attention to detail. TV was small and high on top of cupboard. Safe would not open and even though we told reception who said they would come - did not. Bedside lamp did not work.
It was hard to get the suitcases down the tight stairwell.
- The shower and toilet could be cleaner.
Hotel room and dining room were a bit warm. Didn't know what to expect at breakfast and there wasn't much communication from the staff on what was on offer.
Fan not actual air conditioning
Breakfast was very poor, especially the dining area.
Sharing shower & toilet, one light didn't work. Also where the tv was placed wasn't a good place to put it should of been put up on wall.
Reception was supposed to be 24 hours but, but was locked up and in
darkness at 6.30am so I couldn't hand my keys in on departure and
had to leave them in my room.
Would have been better if breakfast was provided at hotel but got a reasonable Breakfast across the road at The Albion.
The clock was set at the wrong time and the alarm went off at 4.30am! Neither we nor the hotel staff member sent to correct it knew how it worked so it was unplugged.
The toilet door lock was broken.
Room was small but it was only fir sleeping so not really an issue.
The one draw back was the breakfast of hams and eggs for £5:00, poor value and the kitchen staff could be dressed more professionally
than the t shirt and track suit bottoms they wore.
Having only 1 key for 4 person was not very handy..
there is nothing we didn't like.
My only bad point is there where now drinking glasses in the room! So bot that bad really!.
The noise of the doors banging, perhaps some softer close ones would be good.
Broken sliding door to bathroom was annoying but wasnt an issue as only stayed a night!.
Internet was really bad, poor sign except in the small hall.
The shared shower wasn't very clean and the toilet was blocked.
need to share shower and toilet, and the shower is too small, the clothes can get wet if you hang inside shower, and i suggest bring your shower slippers if you don't feel confortble stand in the shower after someone else used it already.
Ceiling fan was v dusty and couldn't be switched on without asking a
member of staff
Window wouldn't stay open and as it was a humid night, it needed to be kept open
All minor stuff easily rectified.
Had to ask for help to carry my suitcase up the narrow stairs. Was difficult going down them next morning with suitcase.
Room was hot
Bit small.
Rooms bit small
Door locked when we arrived.
n/a.
the small room, not seeing the tv correctly, no window in the bathroom which means it was always damp and a bit smelly.
A little noisy on streets late night.
Things like the tea/coffee supplies and soap were minimal. A determinedly no-frills hotel.
