Very helpful owner who was friendly and welcoming. The inn has a lovely
ambiance and situated in a fairly quiet part of the Lake District, but
yet everything was is so amenable. Also, not forgetting some beautiful
and challenging walks. Good menu with good food, (recommend the seafood
platter). Used the spa which is situated, 10 minutes walk away,

Excellent location in peaceful spot but close to Elterwater. Beautiful view with plenty of great walks on the doorstep. we had the luxury room which had great views. Very friendly and helpful bar and hotel staff. Nice bar with good menu. Two real ales on from local breweries. Relaxing hotel for get away weekend.

i only stayed one night but it could not have been better.the hotel setting is in such lovely surroundings. - Everything, it looked lovely on arrival, the staff were helpful, thepool etc were a bonus.

Cheerful, helpful staff. High quality, comfortable room with attention to detail. As we are both vegetarian we were delighted to discover that the restaurant had a separate and varied vegetarian menu and were able to accommodate us as a late booking. Attractive gardens and excellent location to enable walking on the fells from the door. - Good loca
... lo que la gente dice » tion in Grasmere. We had a lovely room (not large) but overlooking the river which was a bonus. Staff were very pleasant. Good breakfast with a lot of options but we didn't eat at the hotel for dinner as we considered it too expensive.

Amazing! I didn't know what to expect from the hotel or the location. What a great surprise. The Lake District, the Village of Grasmere and the Waterside hotel were great!. This spectacularly appointed building is set slightly above the village of Grasmere. Our welcome was warm and genuine. The room was basic, (what we expected), but suited the purpose of a clean cosy place to stay at the end of an adventurous day. The breakfast was fantastic, as were the packed lunches and evening meals. The location is just sublime

We travelled with a small child and were made to feel very welcome, with the travel cot set up for us on arrival. The hostel is a lovely old building in a stunning setting and a two-minute walk from the nice shops and cafes in the village. We booked dinner at short notice and were very pleased with the quality and price of the food. I can't fault anything!
