Great location, 5 minutes walk from Southgate shops, restaurants and Underground station. We ate a lovely dinner at Kye's restaurant which is in the opposite direction to the shops, 5 minutes walk away. The Oaks is is in a quiet location with friendly hosts, and it was a clean and well presented room.

The staff is amazing - they tried to come up with ways to help me and were always there to greet me with a smile. The room was lovely and the wireless was strong and consistent. Great location especially if travelling from the North (from the M1). Free, ample street parking in a good area (on a weekend) and very convenient for the tube (just over the road).

Very comfortable, clean and modern. Neighbourhood was pleasant with supermarkets, English pubs etc within 5 mins walking. Quiet and secure. Within 5 mins walk to underground - Northern Line - which went directly into city centre via St Pancras.
