I Liked the assistance when I arrived late and was unsure where to go. I liked meeting the other guests. I liked that a drink was available even though I didn't have time for it. -
Nice staff, comfy furniture. The place was clean when I arrived and I was impressed that the pots and pans were truly clean...not just rinsed off.

Called ahead as we were arriving after check in. Owner said it would be fine but warned us that Friday and Saturday nights are loud due to the bar. Free WiFi. Very friendly staff. Owner called us a taxi on checkout and got us the cheapest firm. -

This place had a very nice atmosphere. It was easy to make new friends, which made it very enjoyable. The hostel is also clean and well kept. Can't complain about the price either.

Good straightforward accommodation on the edge of the city centre. Facilities and room were clean, and bed was comfortable. Free continental breakfast was an added bonus. Far better value than the (slightly) cheaper backpacker hostels nearby, though sadly only available outside the academic year. -

Proximity to the city was very good with it being just off Queen Street and therefore in easy walking distance to everything.
Having the option of a shared room with just one other was great, as it felt more secure and less 'backpacker-like' than staying in a 4-10 person dorm.

Friendly staff - I was able to check in later when I missed my flight into Auckland at no extra cost no questions asked.
Security Guard Otis was awesome! Made us feel safe and comfortable (especially coming home at early hours of the morning)
