The hotel is nice and our room (two adults and two kids) was quite
large. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We never ate at any of
the hotel restaurants and so cannot comment. As with other Japan hotes
they provide lots of amenities. All in all it was good choice and good

The concierge was amazing! The purpose of my vacation was to see the
temples, see the Gion district, and dress up like a Geisha. She
helped me to plan everything with the buses, trains, taxis, etc. She
had maps for me in English that were extremely helpful. The hotel is
centrally located near the main attractions of Kyoto making it ideal
for my vacation.

Everything was great! The room was cozy for the six days Ive stayed in! Icy cold air conditioning! The owner's mother who runs it is absolutely darling! The hotel is actually quite "self-service" but no worries,
there is a staff that will assist you when you check in. She is really
friendly and helpful. The room was very cozy and comfort, equipped with
microwave, gas stove and a pc. I love the bathroom so much, there's
even a small tv inside the bathroom where you can watch tv while you
enjoying your bath. There is a heater and dryer air system in the
bathroom as well. It's a very good facility especially during winter
when you want to take a s

Excellent central location in Gion. The taxi driver from Kyoto station
was not familiar with the hotel or its location. When drivers don't
know a destination, they can locate it by calling the hotel so make sure
you have the phone number handy. Unfortunately, my driver mistook the
hotel's postal code for a phone number, but after a few minutes of

Location is key to this hotel. It was central to what we wanted to see in kyoto for a day and a half. We were right beside the shoping district district full of restaurants, cafes, and all the different products of kyoto as well as the branded names. Then to the east side of the hotel are the different temples and the feel of ancient japan with a walk in narrow streets full of restaurants, shops, cafes, ets which lead to different temples in the area. The breakfast is really worth the price, but don't book it in advance, you get discount vouchers at the reception counter!

The Staff were exceedingly good showing genuine attentive detail. There were several good to excellent English speakers at the hotel. Great sleep in a double bed. Very good Free Wi Fi throughout the hotelNice restaurant and reception area and garden. We had a very japanise style room. Very luxurious with privated garden. The bathroom was a dream. May be the best I´ve ever been. I can highly recommend it if you want a relaxing and typical japanise experience. A true ryokan. The bicycle facilities were very appreciated! -

Good location - 7 min walk to the Kyoto station. Clean room, futons and bed linen. Ideal for small groups of travellers who need just a night sleep. -
The staff was extremely friendly, everything was clean. Maybe a 10-minute walk to Kyoto station. Good accommodations for families with children.
